Hi All,

Good idea to drop in early, maybe later at 1030 pm all of us can ride down ECP to Changi Village for Supper again...What say u fellas?

Remember the last time I told u guys that my rear brake pads wears off at 6000 miles, then I replace with ISUMI from LAB? I took out the brake pad today at 11000 miles , It just wears off 1/2 a mm....

So conclusion, don't use such cheap brake pads...case your disc kanna wears off.

Hi,

Correct...........you want the pads to wear down, not the disc or rotors (as some would call). I am very wary of LAB's products especially for big bikes. I use Neufren pad and so far they have been OK, but recently, I had an episode of brake fade, total loss of braking power in the rear. Most likely it is due to improper bedding of the pads. Now, they are performing quite well, it is the tyres that's crap (prone to skids and slides). Also, anyone switched to steel braided brake hoses? Thinking of doing it soon. Maybe Hel or Goodridge hoses.

Till tomorrow.............Meow.

Palary,

The horns are approved. I went for inspection and asked the chap there. The answer was, as long as the horns installed are electrically driven/powered, they are approved for use. Only air driven/powered horns are illegal. Even the LTA website said the same thing. So, you can use the Stebel horns with confidence knowing that they are legal and more importantly, they scare the sh*ts out of the drivers who daydream behind the wheel.

LOUD HORN SAVES LIVES!!!!

Hi OMD,

Steel braided brake hose are good you can feel the pressure feedback on the pads...but the mech advised why waste money $200+ wait after sometime later then change because your bike is still new....so I hind his advised...

LAB my experience an advise don't buy things from there like oil, brake pads and so on, which is very important for your bike and your soul....

You can buy mirrors, signal covers, stickers or bulbs...

see you guys at 2000hrs...thanks OMD for early meeting but wasted can't eat the nasi lemak....:hungry:

Hi to all,

It was a successful meetup. We had a grand total of 10 Diversions of various colours at the venue. For the new guys, it was nice meeting you all, hopefully this won't be the first and last we see of each other.

Those absent but with apologies are :- Custom, Casper4XXX and Cougar. For the benefit of you guys who missed what transpired in the meetup, well, the Diversion riders will be organising a trip to Port Dickson soon (Jleo is the convenor). Firm dates have not been set yet, but we are looking at dates after 14th of May.

That is all I have for now.......................

Hiya,

That is being very conservative on the fuel consumption. In real life, you'll get about 16-18 km/l depending on your style of riding. Also, I commute about that amount daily. It is not the most economical of bikes if you ask me.

The problem is getting your hands on one of these bikes. There is no more new ones available and used ones are very hard to come by.

Can..provide you dun drag at every gear..change gear real quickly like Palary..:cheeky:...and empty those un-neccessary things out from your boxes if not required..engine oil is 3.3L (w/o oil filter change) or 3.6L (with oil filter change)...no problem even if you need to travel 80km per day...but if peak hour and u need to squeeze..gotta keep a proper lookout...but from my experience of getting stuck at CTE daily gg to / coming back...super4 can get thru most prob divvy can go thru also...:thumb:

i usually get a consistent 18km/l plus minus 0.5km/l in SG riding.

Top up usually around the 245 mile mark so it equates to 395km with about 21-22liters. Oil change is 3.2L n 3.5L with filter.

Bike is a workhorse, easy to DIY. Maintainence similar to an S4, only thing is the fuel comsumption higher esp with speeds in excess of 75mph. Heavy it is when tank is full and for not so tall pple might need to cut seat/lower suspension for their feets to feel formly planted on ground.

However if fuel economy is your criteria and u wont be using it for touring, then a TDM900 would be a good consideration.

Cheers.

Jleo,

There is going to be a mass meetup of most bike makes coming soon, and they would like to be in touch with the particular bike group's leader, how about heading there http://www.singaporebikes.com/forum/index....showtopic=36025 and inserting your name to represent the DOG (Diversion Owners Group).

For the fuel consumption, last night I travelled 200miles with 18.8litres of fuel, thus giving me the mileage of 17km/l. Then again, I rev thru my gears (up to 7K at times) when on the road.

Just to share with the rest, last night, I was harrassed by this souped up Suzuki GTi in Yishun. He thought he can "makan" the Diversion. Unknown to him........................

The trouble is, these people just don't realise that they stand very little chance with most 2 wheelers on the roads (Tua Gu's).

HI OMD,

I enjoyed the meet up, wasted limited time I had.... alot to talk about...A trip to port dickson thats wonderful... let me know in advanced of the dates need to plan the leaves...ahead.

Its not worth it, to challange with cars there are inside the steel cage with safety belts...but we(you) open ... anything (touchwood) happened we suffer those fellows or buggers behind the wheels they just looking for or seeking for thrills only...if they not satisfied loose face they just might knock you down....we as a matured riders must weigh the consequences...all we know that this suckers only smelling OUR EXHAUST for life... and still never learn...!

To all D GUYS...

Diversion Owners Group D.O.G try adding a 'S' it sounds abit better....doen't it..

Diversion Owners Group Singapore D.O.G.S sounds better how about any logo..?

SoOo farRr anybody got any logo linking to the D.O.G.S...?

My suggestion "ONLY A SUGGESTION" as the name already DOG or DOGS how about the (proton waja logo) the roaring face only without shield... looks like a dog or supposed to be tiger or jaguar something like that...!

Can be cut out on those reflective 3m stickers, stick on the back or side of the box so how...!

With the logo and the word D.O.G.S at the bottom...any chance...:bouncefire:

Hiya,

Personally, I like DOCS or DRS (Diversion Riders Singapore). What about the rest of the riders here?

Anyway, never seen you here before, Euro. Have we met? Care to introduce yourself to rest of the Diversion owners here?
