Dear D9 buggers,

 

On my way home just now, I bumped into a Traffic Police D9 training convoy near LTA, riding on the 2nd lane... All the traffic policemen looked at me, so I waved and rode on the 3rd lane to give way to the convoy of about 10 TP bikes... What happened surprised me!!!

The lead TP bike slowed down & took up formation BEHIND my bike!!! So there I was, suddenly leading a convoy of TP bikes on the THIRD LANE all the way to Old Upper Thomson Road!!! YAAAAHOOOOO!!!!!!

 

PS: I'm not only leading a convoy of Diversions, but TP DIVERSIONS!!!! WOOOOOHOOOOOO!!!!!

 

Btw, I'll be joining on Friday for Kulai nasi lemak...

Note: Imagine a convoy like the pic below, but the difference is that the TPs were on convoy training, so they were NOT in uniforms, but in all-black armour jackets, pants and gloves... I wished I could snap a pic, but there was simply NO way I could take pictures...

It'll be pure AWESOMENESS if I could get a pic of a MEDIC Diversion leading a convoy of TP Diversions!!!! *drool!!!!*

Hi boybulance, i cant really go touring nowadays, cos I am trying to setup my biz, thats why its a waste my diversion is just a commuting tool, hopefully i can stabilise and have those touring days again, on my diversion.

2. 3 brake discs ($400??) - disc brakes look like pratas already

3. EBC brake pads ($100??) -

4. HEL steel braided brake hoses ($150??)

5. Brembo Diversion brake pump (a bomb!!)

 

All are braking products & safety items... Safety comes at a price...

 

Any advice or feedback regarding these items, or places where I can get them, please feel free to reply.... THANX!!!

Mine because of low mileage, still ok, will upgrades to these after the 10year mark, after renewing COE. Maybe call it refurbishment.

As of 8 April 2011 at 3pm at MotoWorld, my HYPERPRO progressive springs were fully installed!!!

Hole burnt in pocket: $460 (HyperPro shocks) + $60 (changed fork seals)

 

Review: I tested my ride on EVERY bump and manhole cover I can see.... My teeth didn't rattle like before... I also tested the shocks with my wife as pillion - My bike didn't bounce and sound like my panniers and rear box were gonna fall off....

 

Verdict: Handling much better, stiffer and steadier, worth the buy!!!

Hi BoyBulance,

Suspension is a must for you and it's a right time you've changed by the way you have a regular pillion, does make the differences for a long distance stable riding and (corner)controls.

Not all shops carries the EBC brake pads for our bike, get the pads first before doing up the 3 disc's. Steel brake hose is made to measure, reason to compensate the extra length for the (TP)handle. or can get from motoworld "swage line" slightly longer.

I totally agree COE is a fraud. I think many shop owner are the one who put the price up. Isnt it funny that we buyers are so stupid to ask for a piece of paper for 2.7k and then the price of bike is 4k like yamaha xri. i just saw one on the road

2day saw 4 diversion heading to Johor ard 11am. Was thinking hw come tp goin to Johor like nothing to do. Slowing down n it Nt tp bike Bt diversion gang n look cool when they r in a bunch. Even it just 4 bike wonder if it's ard ten tat will be a wow. Btw side by side wit a divvy 900 while mine is just 600 look really like one big bro n mine really a small Boi bike lol.

Bro ocel,r u the one riding the red xj600 wif a pillion??? i noticed u via my rear mirror...finally get to see the baby bro of diversion live!! fyi,yesterday we went up to Muar Traffic Police Academy as they invited us to see their stunts,offensive and defensive riding plus building rapport with them.... aniwae its a rare sight of spotting a xj6 otr...upzz!!!!

Ocel, if I'm not mistaken, you mentioned in a previous post that you've never seen a Diversion on the road apart from the Police ones, right? Well, THAT was your lucky day!!!
