Yamaha Diversion 900

Came back from supper n realised that my running(intermediate) light for the headlights is dead. It is the one when the headlight indicator shift is in the middle position.

 

Anyone who changed it b4, where to buy it n whats the bulb specs. After that gotta figure how to install it w/o removing all 14 screws in front.

 

Do gimme some directions. Apprecieate it.

It is call the parking light I think...

 

Look from behind, it is located at the bottom right, u need just pull it out.

 

The bulb is 12V...can't remember how many watt..

 

This bulb seem to burn pretty fast, don't understand why.

The bulb is quite common, I got it from the shop opposite Sim Lim Tower, the place where it sells all the spot light and fog lights.

 

U can also find such bulbs in ant electronic shops in Sim Lim tower, but rather low amperage..so a bit dim.

Actually last paper is on the 7th. 14th is because i have this final presentation for my project.

 

Meetup shouldnt be a problem but i have a BBQ on that day so cant meet up with u all unless its later in the night.

Thanks for the tips guys... No time to go down buy so in the meantime jus let it be. Anyway that bulb doesnt have much use at all as too dim.

U wanna change to a brighter one?

I'll be get some for my spot light so at the same time can buy for u.

The better one is around 40W-60W.

 

OMD has one. White in colour.

Actually I thot of changing to a brighter one also.

 

So when u ride during the day, just use that lamp, no need to on Headlight and waste juice.

Meet at 9.30 pm can? The other time we go East 'Changi Village'; this time we go North or west also can...

Ok, get for u a bright bright one for the sidelight. Will tell u the spec before I buy.

As for the main one, there are alot of them.

Stock is 60/55W.

In the market have have higher rating then the stock.

How?

I'm using PIAA Xetme White w 135/125W pec. Cost is $55 .

Or may be wait for the meet up then c how lar...

This is more than Twice the rating!! How long have u been using it? Did it melt your reflector??

I'm looking for one, but not happy about the watts ratting sucks the juice out of the battery. all those bulbs with high ratting can get on the mustaffa self about $13 to $17...in pairs...

U are referring to Halogen bulbs for Spot light right?

 

Autoaacs also got selling, but some of their bulbs really very very expensive...let me check it out for u...

And once such expensive lamps blow...I felt a sharp pain in the heart.....

About a month after came back from China.

In S'pore, I use to on the sidelight only.

Only when I go to Malaysia then I start to use it.

Had tried it on a trip to Malacca, so far so good.

As for the amperage consumption; use only in Malaysia so ok lar.

If u r afraid that it drain the battery, use a lower rating one will help but .......

It's all depend on u.

 

As for the sidelight, I've mistake my spot light with it.

Our sidelight is just the normal 12V bulbs at can get it on car acc. shop.

So far highest I can find is 12V 8W. Cost is $15 for 2

Will keep u update if I can find a better one.

I used to buy a one at 12bucks for my Vulcan, bulb has a blue tint but light appears whitetish, damm powerful i must also add.

 

Maybe i go back to my old bikeshop to ask ask again. But not now as in the midst of exams still.
