Hiya guys,

Just out of curiousity, for the PD trip, how many of you are planning on having a pillion coming along?

As for the timing, why not move off at 0700hrs instead. Meet at GP Esso at 0645hrs and move off at 0700hrs SHARP!!!

Any violent objections?

Finally got my front brake pads changed to SBS model:663-SQ, after 5000miles which inc a trip up Fraser Hill, the ISUMI pad still looks NEW..

I understand that ISUMI is a jap brand, but i guess mine was an OEM product, made in Taiwan.

With close inspection realised that the only thing that was wearing out were my rotors. THere were alot of little radial grooves(but noticable) on the discs, condition comparable to years of braking on it.

My advice, keep away from this brand. Have to see how this set performs.

Cheers.

Hi jleo,

Search back and then saw this...

The brake of yours is ceramic type.

It will wear out in no time.

Iwas con to this brake pad and had rejected it.

The motor shop then admit that is is of lower grade type as the metal sintered no stock.

It is lucky that they willing to return my $$ back.

For SBS our bike uses 663-HF.

Till now still can't find this brake pad.

Anyone have lobang for this?

EBC also can.

Everytime goes there money spent okay what! atleast you can see where it goes and still using the products, consider it money well spent... comphere to some of my kaki's every weekend at night-club gulp so much of mineral water spent nearly $150 a night next day hangover headache and MC...so which one is better...!

Those rain coat $80... after bargain right! it is not 100% water proof, maybe can say 95%, water tend to sip in, my friend have one he bought about... 2 months ago. okay not a bad stuff...cheer up!

Have you seen those bike boots there, they quite nice aren't they, price range from $180 to $390...if you wanted to buy the boots buy those Gore-Tex(breathable membrane type) material not hot and water proof too....I tried on those leathers for just few minutes my socks wet already, really... hot!

The clover jacket which they hang it lower the one near to the casher, those are use on hot climate with CE armour $300+ I think he mention about 3 colours...there are netting running by the sleeves and the sides of the jacket for ventilation...I am still considering about it...maybe next month or ??? see how.o_O

Casper & Silverghost,

We meet up and ride together to the 2nd Link, ok? We'll see if Haroze wants to join us too.

Custom,

About the brakes, how did you know that it is 663-HF and not 663-SQ. Sintered pads are only suitable if the original pads are sintered in the first place, and they are not recommended to be used for the rear brake.

Custom,

Where did you buy the pads? Are they the sintered ones or organic pads? Careful about sintered pads, they last longer and improves braking, but they wear out your rotors.

The finger do the walking

Check the web site and found out one.

Below is what I have found out(only front brake coz I never use rear brake)

SBS 663-HF

EBC FA179HH

Vesrah VD-255JL

These are brake pads suitable for our bike front brake.

I think for the rear brake, the SQ series is ok but front one is better to get HH rated.

Hope this helps.

OMD,

The price range for sintered pad will easy cost $25-$36.

If u can find sintered pad selling at $15, tell me, I book a warehouse and stock up.

:cheeky: :cheeky:

As for the rotor, yes, they do eat into the rotor but if u stay on to brands like EBC, it will be min.

The simplest Riding gear is wear Jean, boots and jacket...

Don't burn a your pocket just for one trip. But if u are thinking of going for frequent trips, then it is wise to get some proper gear....

Hey Casper,

If you guys confirm 0530hrs at kopitiam ok set...!

Thats right riding jacket, if you don't have chong aig cool rider $140 at desker road...atleast you know, you are wearing something protective to give you a piece of mind. unless you have higher budget chap lee jacket clover $340+ local climate... riding boots if got the cash ones for all buy it -you may spend about or between $180 to $250 for a pair of boots.

Next just bring a small (med) towel, slipper, spare shorts, t-shirt,underwear...and don't forget your rain suit...what I know you plan to hit the sana oops (suana)right!!!

"Guys Guest what" today I fix the rack at SK for monokey box...so far mine is the lowest rack of you all...$220...no gap between the SK rack and the bike back cover...maybe you may want to see how low is low...hahaha!!!

And fellow divvy kaki's anybody need a H4 halogen bulb??? ( hella) 12v 100/90w clear (germany)-I bought 2 bulbs each $6 anybody wants you know what to do...I bring in on that day...I remember somebody asking for it so I buy first....if nobody wants I keep as a spares.:cheeky:

I personally feel that riding jacket is important reason simply of the road and whether you are going to encounter. A waterproof with those protective pading will be even better....know what I mean !!!! Believe me ...u wouldn't want to wear Tee shirt. Right ????

Also a pair of comfortable glove and boots too....I am also looking for a boots too.

By the way remember to get for your wife too .....ok
