about the jacket?

Hey Casper,

The jacket I bought from chong aik, yes thats the one my friend just bought one last week too ,they stick the price tack $150 and $160...Just go in ask for the cool rider jacket they have few colours most likely you will choose the black which look nicer... ask them $140 they will give it to you...If you can ask for more discount good luck to you...try.!

You can get the gloves from there, when buying the leather gloves try to get those slightly tight after sometime they will expand...and fit more snugly in your hand...get those with short gloves you don't feel that hot at all, so the air can get in thru the jacket (sleeve) cuffs...

So far I ride in heavy rain (in S'pore) with the pull over rain coat not bad 90% water proof.:thumb:

If u intend to ride it everyday to work.... Those with rain proof property will fried u with the heat..so consider that first... Many of them bought those to be shelf at home , only taken out once in a while...

Don't know which Komine model u are referring to...Actually I own 2....1 a wire mesh which I wore everyday...(Also own 1 GPR , the one Silverghost had also)

Another one which look like cloth material (for my wife)...Rather warm esp. for city travel...But ok if you are on the NSH highway.

For glove, the GPR brand from Chong Aik I find them really Value for money....

Chong Aik also had the Cordura material pants with Shin/Knee guard and padding ...cost only $140, this is definitely cheaper than Dainese and the protection is equally good....Only thing is that the 'waterproofing ' will wears off if u throw into the washing machine....So u need to spray with Scotch guard spray...

Unlike dainese Gortex material which is water proof.

Hey Oxygen,

This is the place where my head roll for sometime thinking how to encounter this problem I had few designs atleast 3 design after counseling with SK...he and I agreed with one design...which he agrees it is beautiful and strong...

1st design is a copy of european design which cost about $300 to $360..too pricy! It uses tubular steel pipes which SK do not recommend as it is weak near the joints.which can't stand the wave of vibration traveling outward...

2nd design is still using the tubular steel pipes but there is no connection at the top end so it is like those of kawa or honda hornet pillion handles without the joints, SK says it is not easy to bend to the "S" shape..there is no obstruction in this design at the back but cost...$280 to $320 if they do..also pricy...

3rd design using the half inch steel bar to bend but lower and only using bolts at the joints, in normal design were most of your brackets have 2 bolts at the front closer to the seat but at the back the joint is welded, but mind I have a total of 4 bolts at the joints, front 2 bolts and back 2 bolts so whenever I need to remove the back brake cover I need to remove 2 back bolts and loosen the front bolts thats it I have access to the back cover...and it cost $220...

Frankly I don't know why need to open the brake light cover (fairing) there is no reason to open that cover. If you want change the brake bulb, there are 2 screws on the brake cover itself to change the bulb...if you want to remove the hold assembly there are '2' 10mm bolt at the back inside which access by removing the seat...thats all. I hope I have answered your questions... o_O

Hi melvin my man,

You are looking for jackets, whether it is Kormine or Dainese, for our local climate buy those with the wire mesh type where the air can pass thru or enter...some of the jackets comes with extra rain coat pull overs...so you need only the rain pants. Riding pants they are good and really hot, I call them "HOT PANTS"

You want to buy the jacket double as rain coat you no need to go to Port Dickson and enter the suana in there....you are already in suana all the way there...so imagine that !!!

Good 100% rain coat are hard to find, sometime by luck you get it, sometime you complain every rainy day that your under wear is wet...this rain coats are mass production so no QC checks.. :goodluck:

I'm only riding a 2B bike, waiting to save up enough $$ to get this all-rounded bike... Cheers.

Hi Julian,

You are riding a 2b bike its good if you can slowly upgrade, get to know our urban jungle road warfare first...If you are thinking to get a big bike always do you part research to any bike you like.

Don't just jump into the pool..there are alot of people they look for beautiful and powerful bike...jump in- road tax, insurance, even keeping up with monthly payment also problem...

You look like a wise guy looking for all rounder smart move but "the Diversion" you are looking for No More in production last year 2003 December was the last production...if you are looking for a 2nd hand the chances are very slim If you can get thats good...

Always do your home work...research!!(magazines,internet,comments from bikers)

Myself why I choose Diversion...

1)Shaft driven(no need to oil chain,or every 3yr change one not forgeting sprockets)

2)Engine Air cool ( No radiator problem hose leaking or coolent problems)

3)center stand (washing is a breeze)

4)Side panniers(2 sizes regular size and bigger size can put in your wardrobe)

5)Accessories not much so you save there...alot $$$

take care
