Guys,

I am good for the TCS on any of the dates mentioned. Only thing is, I can only come around later.

As for the day ride mentioned earlier, I am toying with the idea of doing the Bekok Waterfalls on the 29th of August (yes, next Sunday ppl). Let see how many are game for it. We start early, be at the waterfalls by noon, hang out, swim, eat and be merry for a few hours before heading back home. Should be back home before 2100 hrs.

Any takers....................................

Does it got the word "POLICE" on them??

Those that are displayed at SK do have the word "Police" on them but we can remove these wordings if we dun want them. Instead we can put our nicknames on.

Guys,

Before I get f**ked, let me apologise. I was reminded earlier today that I have a wedding invitation that coincide with the date for the Bekok day ride. So, in a nutshell, I cannot make the ride. My fault for not checking with the home ministry before "advertising" for the day ride.

How about another date? Again, guys, I am sorry.

Was thinking of installing a cruise control device...

Rather useful on the NSH, those where there's a lever to lock the trottle posotion in place...

Anyone with any comments abt this product??

Also where can i find one...

I got a fren riding ST11 who installed it himself. However I find that it can be quite dangerous cos after-market cruise controls do not have the feature that closes the throttle automatically when u depress the brakes. imagine u r gg 160 / 170 km/h on the NSH, something happens and u need to release the cruise control manually first b4 braking! Those few seconds are precious by then!

Jleo,

It's true I was about to install on my earlier bike ST11 but workshop advised me against it for safety reasons..So I scraped that idea...there are some cases involved in accidents, caused by these product... accidentally or unintensionally locking the cruise control.

In case, during an emergency / lapse of attention- you can't pull off or unlock the cruise control in time!(kallang Kabott) that's it, you are screwed...

Same thing goes to any other bikes, 'unless' it's comes together as OEM...

Think about it over...there are few type of aftermarket cruise controls sold on the internet. Those cruise controls makers does not garuntees against (product defect) or any accident cause by it..Example an insurance coverage by them(manufacturers) if anything goes wrong....!

Please scraped that idea...I know it would be wonderfull to have it but..........!

Hmmm....

I am aware of the possibilities n u have prior considered those. Thank you guys for the advice n concern...

Anyway i cant seem to find the one i want, so likely i'll scrap that idea n instead save up for the handlebar pullback(ala Kevin,O2 n Palary)...

Btw if i'm serious about ordering, anyone interested as well???

Hiya,

Am due for a change of tyres soon as threads are barely 3mm after 19500miles of roads which includes trips up to Fraser, Cameroon n Genting. Pretty lasting i should say.

Had actually would like to stick with the originals. But the problem is i cant seem to find n HL when i asked dont seem interested in bringing the tyres in, instead asked me to source it outside.

Anyone with any recommandations for Sports Touring tyres? I have a few in mind...

1) Bridgestone BT020 - ZR rating - $300/pair

2) Dunlop GT501 - H or V rating - $280/pair

Also will change a set of hubs when i do so... Currently would prob choose the BT020 as i heard more of it...

Anyone to add to the list??

Posted

Yo Jleo,

i may not have tried Dunlop GT501 but after my recent trip, I recommend BT0202 too!

This is because it brought me through my recent 9 day trip up northern tip which is usually very wet at this time. Not forgetting torturing roads of MHS during many heavy down pour (in Northeast Thai). Works for me! :thumb:

You can get your tyres at Stamford Motors. I got the exact rear tyre size 150/70 17" from them. Shop is located a few units after SK at AMK Autopoint 5th floor.

(I feel that most tyres are slippery on wet roads with painted strips. Some roads in do have rather good texture and grip.)

Hi Euro,

I thing battalax should be fine as usual all tyres do slip on the paint/ lane markers on the wet season so avoiding it is the only choice...

So Euro, are you dropping in on Saturday 28/8 about 2130hrs behind Kallang Mc donald..
