Hey guys,

As promised, the handlebar extender arrived exactly a week later. After 40mins of fiddling and a rerouting of the throttle cable, i'm glad to say that the installation was sucessfully done.

There was no issues with regards to tight cables whether clutch or throttle. No stretcting sound when turn from extreme left to right, jus abit more more taut but definatley not pulled.

O2 i think i can help with your cable rerouting should u want.

Did a short ride after that and what else can i say other than...

SHIOK AH!!!

Jleo,

Nice to know that you have reroute the wiring and there are no strectching sounds from the cables and wirings, as compare to O2 or palary...

I was abit of sceptic about it, worried might effect the wiring and cables and so....After you have done and the result may speak :lovestruck:

I need to have a hands on maybe can change my decision about it..!

Say how much did you spend on it..$$$

Okay guys no choice only 3 divvy going up to Malacca!!!! unless you guys are free at the last minute you people know where to meet us:-

At shell petrol kiosk along Jln Ahmad Ibrahim just after (opposite)Former tang Dynasty at 0700 hrs... if you are coming maybe abit late give us a call we may wait for you..!

Guys,

About the Diversion at the $outh*n, I have a small detail it belongs to a cisco bugger he is trading in and upgrading to a FJR13...!

The diversion as I heard it has a lower cowling and a volt meter...

Thats good, but the price for a second hand Diversion is unrealistic ????????

Hi Silverghost and potential buyer,

The diversion at southern belongs to malay guy who actually downgrade. I spoke to this malay guy before. It's not exactly what u've heard of. There isn't any lower cowling and voltmeter when I viewed it. Maybe it has been installed by the shop, this I'm not sure. :)

I viewed it many times at the shop before getting a proper quote from the shop. S$14,800 w/o gst. After gst, the machine price is S$15540 (though Cougar stated that there is no gst for 2nd hand bike). The bike was advertised in the forum classified before. The amt of outstanding monthly installment was spelled out. I calculated, it was only $14k. This loan maybe direct from the shop, so after taking the bike back, the shop may save on the interest from the outstanding loan. So effectively the amount maybe $12-$13k+ only. I don't see how the shop can further lower the price to less than $14k with the profit the shop want to earn. Buying this diversion at this price is thanks to the interest incurred from previous owner. We're paying on top of the interest incurred before.

In addition, buyer has to fork out transfer fee of abt $170+, insurance ranging from $500-$1k+ depending on age & yr of bike (this amount is unavoidable) & also some form of agreement fee/hidden cost (I'm sure some pple know abt this).

So in total, as advised in the previous posting, the price is almost equivalent to a new bike. I agree too.

Most important of all......I'm not letting this shop earn my money with this kind of quote and reputation of the shop.......all of us know better :)

No problem with the testing.. Paid $206 for it..

Actually i wanted to convince myself that it was worth all that money n trouble of learning how to rerouting the cables. So at yest @ 2pm, at the peak of my boredom, i decided to try a longer ride to give it a more rigorous QA check. So myself, together with a pillion did the route 5 to melaka from GP town ( isnt it great to be jobless :cheeky: ).

The ride up 4 hours including 2 short 20min breaks in Pontian Kechil n Batu Pahat. Roads were somewhat similiar to the one we took to Mersing but there was a particular stretch where it was really bad, traffic was comparatively alot heavier.

The journey back was via the NSH from Melaka to the GP Petronas in a go, about another 2.5 hrs. A total of 6.5 riding hrs clocked n about 330miles covered from home to home in 9hs in total.

At the end of it all, since it was a QA ride, the verdict was easy to reach. Considering that i have no numbness from the palm, no soreness from the shoulder nor from the neck says it all. Also the negotiation of corners werent compromised as i expect, i tackled the corners with ease. :thumb:

Now y i didnt order it earlier...

For the sunday run(rerun for me).. 3 also go. Might even have another 2 more coming if things turn out right.

Cheers!!!

Gentlemen,

After next week onwards touring going to be abit on a difficult side for ME, as NS and other stuffs are coming along the way, and getting leave also difficult, as most of the staff book their leave towards the end of the year.

If there is a will sure there is a way...as long as I can get the date of touring much much earlier....I try my best to make it but no promises :weep: ..

So you buggers workout the schedulings in advance...!

Anything you buggers had in mind like need to tour,go for a drink, get together put your "IDEA's OUT" then we work our way towards that goal...We will put it on the thread as well try to SMS to all whether they can make it or not...

We may not be able to please everyone but we will try to please as much people as possible... :cheer: ..

Guys I just went GP for supper last nitez wif another 3 S4. Guess what happened? One of the S4 helmets kena stolen! He placed his 2 helmets on his bike and went off to the toilet, when he came back it was gone.We search around but to no avail. Luckily met fellow spore bikes who lent us helmets. Lessons learnt :

1) always park together as a group.

2) nvr leave your helmets unattended on the bike.
