Yup, saw him pouring 2 liters full... He claim that his name is on Honda Workshop , very famous .. Said engine will heat up very fast if use only 1 liter. But i read manual and forum, all said about 1 - 1.2 liter .... Too much will damage engine.

suggest u ditch this workshop that reccomends 2L...obviously they have not read the manual...jus BS all the way...for a simple thing of EO change can mess up...

change of eo is 1L..only.

get a pump and remove 1 L...and save this for your next DIY.

i use a shampoo bottle pump for this purpose...

with too much EO..u will encounter difficulty in starting, poor power and all sorts of performance problem..and ultiamtely busting the oil seals in the engine..IMHO

Never argue with an idiot. They'll bring you down to their level and beat you with experience every time:dot:

just beside Serangoon stadium. Near the SPC patrol station. For shop name, i better don't say. They used to charge me for a Metz tires for $200, and too claim their cost is already $150. Now i guess, i better change my service over there next time. Maybe planet from now onward.

Metz tyres for Phantom not so expensive leh... that shop cannot make it la ... highly recommend u to stop patronising them.

The tyres, including installation should cost u around $150 nia...

Bro, u look very rich or stay around there izzit... cos there's some bungalows there.... hahaha....

This one you really have to try around and use your butt dyno to tell which one is best for your bike. Give popular choices a try, e.g. FUCHS, Maxima, MOTUL, etc... Each bike+rider combination have their own preference. Hehe :)

actually.... how often your change EO ? a bit waste to use synthetic....

synthetic in cars last 10,000KM (6 mths), mineral last 5,000KM (3 mth) prior each change...

for a old phantom > 5yrs...use a mineral that is 20W50 , thick thick cheap cheap ($9 for castrol) can liao...

anyway u gonna change it at 2,000KM... and old bike..gap of piston and cylinder wider.. due to wear and tear lor...kkeek

From Honda's Phantom to ..................

Clearing each stage at SSDC and BBDC for bike license was fun !!!

Actually it sounds quite logical but i will always suggest that we use minimum semi syn.

In fact, i think im changing from fully to semi... kekkeke!

ahhh... maybe i will try fully first.. if it suit my butt and bike, i stick to it..

can we have a show of hands who's using fully EO :

1) FUCHS

3) MOTUL

nope I'm using chessa... I wanna test out some other chemicals, hence I kept the EO same for this change...

chessa is the cheapest fully syn at $16... probably cheaper if you do other service together...

anyway, the mobil fully syn 10w40 is $21...
