How many times have you sat in the office, look out of the window, just to see dark clouds settling over the time you're about to knock off? Deciding to take the risk since it's not yet rained, you pack your stuff and head out.

 

But once you hit the expressway, ROAR! it start's to rain. heavily. you have 2 options:

1) hope that you come across shelter soon, and stop to suit up.

2) curse and swear and wished that you have waited in the office, cos no raincoat.

 

Well I have been the victim of 'Tee Gong' (Sky God) once too many, so what I do is to call home or friends at places where i'm going to enquire on the weather. unfortunately, this hotline is not always open.

you can also see incoming storms by looking at the animation weather radar at this site http://www.nea.gov.sg/cms/mss/rainareas/rainareas.html

 

So u can gauge if big clouds are coming towards singapore try to predict if it is going to rain in your area.The rain map in their signature only tells of the current rain locations.
