which full face helmet would you get?

As long as it protects the head during a crash - its good enough.

 

The ultimate thing is a question of comfort versus weight versus price. At a certain level - for a small improvement in either weight or comfort - the price goes up disproportionately.

 

I guess part of the problem is the testing regime here which does not recognize the standards in European, Japanese or US markets that have so much more riders than we have in Singapore (145k at last count) and thus increases the cost of testing on a per batch basis and therefore the dealers whack on the price for a PSB accredited helmet.

 

My suggestion is - use an accredited standard that is recognized worldwide and be done with it. Are we value adding by doing more testing? I doubt so!

Well, the helmet that saved my head was a Nolan.

 

Now I'm using an AGV Airtech which is light - because I've got a neck problem and it hurts if I i wear a heavier helmet a bit longer ... so had to pay a bit more for it. Otherwise, my shoei (though heavier) was ok.

 

There was a debate on what is a good helmet in the past Bike Magazine (2 years ago I think) the question was whether a hard inner shell is better or a soft one is better. The reason is that the brain damage is done when you have protect the brain from the sudden decelleration during a crash. The results were inconclusive anyway....

nolan. pricing seems very reasonable, design seems good. sharp reviews and user reviews arent that bad at all. really regret getting my kbc instead of nolan . . . should had done my homework first
