The temp is doing well since i can't go fast... IF temp bcums 1/2, my fan will on liao. I also got switch for the fan... Can manually switch on.

 

Wad i did was simply change my fan coz the previous one wasn't working at all.

 

So you're saying that the temp is fine and the fan is working normally rite? Then like this I dun think it's your fan that is the issue. Maybe one of your spark plug is defective.

Hi, can anyone recommend the best workshop in SG for doing CBR engine stuff as well as carb tuning?

 

it is up to ur individual's preference la..some recommend unique motors..i went there but not very impress wif their mechanics.. wad attracts me is their cheaper lubricants only.. for me i mostly go to soonhin @ yishun industrial to look for ah meng to fix my bike la..

Actually I dun really get what your problem is. My fren's CBR that time also got problem only can go top speed 60km/h. End up his con rod bent or something. Hope nothing like that is wrong for you.

 

If you mean that your bike is running poor or no power at high speed, these are the things the manual says causes it:

 

Firing Incorrect (Spark Plug)

Fuel/Air mixture Incorrect (Carbs\Air filter)

Compression Low (Spark Plug/Valve/Piston Ring etc)

Knocking or Pinking (Carbon build-up/wrong heat range for spark plug etc)

Miscellaneous Causes (Throttle valve/clutch slipping etc)

 

These are just brief notes, the entire thing is too much to type here.

It has to be something to do with the fan... After the repair, then like this. And am ony doing the fan. I've just gave them a call... They told me to come back and they'll give my bike a check.(New Southern)

 

My FireBlade speed cut at 120km/h now.... After the repair, it becomes such. :cry:Wah Liao. wtf. :cry:

 

Am so fu ck ing pissed off..... Dun have much time and this s h i t happened.:cry:

If ur doing ur bike at alexander village areas i suggest u go to HKL , the one with the dyno jet which was previously unity. Used to bring my blade there for electrical issues and they did it perfectly.

I'm sure theres no fixed price if u think abt it its like going to ah boy where selling u a helmet for price 100 , maybe turn ur head he sell another guy 85 nia.

 

What ever parts ur changing just recee around the market price, as long as u roughly knw the price , u dun need to worry abt getting carrotted.

 

Used to change coil and battery there and the price was reasonable though haha.. anyway if they can fix ur problem wouldnt it be cheaper than the shop that cannot fix ur problem ? lol i do rmb that 400cc was the smallest bike when i went there lol..

Possible foul plug if ur exhaust note is different now ( sounds like subaru )

The lost power thing very hard to diagnose... Since you just got your bike, why dun go do a full servicing? If you like me cannot spend so much at once:cheeky:, just wash/tune carb and change/wash Air Filter see got the power back, if not change EO and spark plug and see. If still the same, come here and post again... Anyway it's always good to service the bike when you just got it mah, no harm.

 

Idling speed you mean you set at 1.1 then it jump to 1.4 is it? For idling speed always rem to set it when the bike is fully warmed up, if you set it in a cold bike, after the bike is warmed up it will rise a little bit more. And also if I rem correctly the manual says after setting idle speed open/close throttle a few times and see if the speed is the same. I also dunno the purpose of this. :cheeky:But if you're talking about the idling speed doesn't stay constant like 1.4 all the time. Is it like it jumps from 1.4 to 1.43 like that? If it is small jump is ok bah, old bike cannot expect to be like new bike. But if the jump is so high then something wrong already. Again maybe carb dirty?

I read that for valve clearance the engine must be completely cool. Ride to JB sure engine hot right? Then must wait about an hour just for the bike to cool off? :faint:Then do bike another few hours is it?

at least 3 days for doing the valve clearance at JB.

valve clearance will done on the next day.

3rd day take bike.

 

3 days is normal, depend also the bike shop.
