Grade of petrol is due to the octane in it. Petrol's octane rating is a measurement of the fuel's ability to resist engine knocking. Knock occurs when the fuel-air mix in the cylinder explodes instead of burning in a controlled way. This shockwave moves within the combustion chamber, and creates a metallic 'pinging' sound. An octane rating is often referred to as an 'anti-knock index'. If fuel has a high octane number, it will have a higher resistance to engine knocking.

 

V-power have onli 99octane. V-Power aims to clean a vehicle's engine as it's used and as a result, aims to improve fuel economy and car performance.

LoL same i tested with 1 month of jb v power and i think its somewhat better.

Our blade's min ron is 91 , topping anything above that would be good enough.. high ron rating shouldnt have additional effect coz like explained the ron rating is just a measurement of resistance to knocking.. i believe its related to compression ratio, higher the engine's compression ratio , the higher the ron rating is required for the engine.

 

Power wise i think JB v power compared to sg 95 seems better lol.. dunno man.

Actually I dun really get what your problem is. My fren's CBR that time also got problem only can go top speed 60km/h. End up his con rod bent or something. Hope nothing like that is wrong for you.

 

If you mean that your bike is running poor or no power at high speed, these are the things the manual says causes it:

 

Firing Incorrect (Spark Plug)

Fuel/Air mixture Incorrect (Carbs\Air filter)

Compression Low (Spark Plug/Valve/Piston Ring etc)

Knocking or Pinking (Carbon build-up/wrong heat range for spark plug etc)

Miscellaneous Causes (Throttle valve/clutch slipping etc)

 

These are just brief notes, the entire thing is too much to type here.

 

dun think is con rod bent for yr friend case..

if really bend, even starting of bike oso hav problem..

let alone can reach 60km/h..

This is not legal... But I'm also planning to import in the future...

But it will burn a big hole in your pocket... The header itself already almost S$500... Dun forget the shipping, these are big and sort of heavy items, shipping is gonna cost a bomb. But if you loaded and just worried about the legal issue, just go change to a legal aftermarket end can... then after you have the cert already, import the headers in and after that if TP look at your cert should not bother you. If they still ask just say you chrome your header lor...

You planning to keep your bike how long? If you plan to upgrade not worth it to import IMHO.

They change all the shims or those worn out only?

I read that for valve clearance the engine must be completely cool. Ride to JB sure engine hot right? Then must wait about an hour just for the bike to cool off? :faint:Then do bike another few hours is it?

That price is subjective..interchange shims most of the time and grind off the thicker ones..unless cannot find maybe 1 or 2 but thats all...cam gasket all use back ah..

Idling not rite check/svc balance carbs and new plugs

I asked one of the shops (Alexander there) they told me dun waste money no need to do valve clearance one.

have to faster clear everything by today so that i could bring my bike down to New Southern at Alexendra on Sat to look into my bike's problem....

 

My Fireblade kinda difficult reaching 130km/h and has many vibrations even at normal speed. The respond and handling becomes really wierd too....

 

Bike like this plus my f u c king work which i couldn't take any leave due to the bloody f u c k shipments, how to solve.

Werk here since 16 Sept' 2008... till now, never take any leave, mc or off before... Seeing my colleagues all taking those really pissed me off. Our shipment piorities r totally on a different level. Wat a morning.:slapforehead:
