Maybe your fren changed the spark plugs with the wrong heat range? Happened to my fren before... Then he changed the correct heat range plugs and the bike was running fine...

When was the last time you changed Engine Oil? If too long nv change EO might cause this issue as well as the plates will not have proper lubrication...

Your last servicing was recent bro? The usual suspect for your case would be carbs and plugs... Btw how's your charging like?

I wouldn't recommend servicing the carbs if you dun have spare cash. Coz sometimes you service the carbs the rubber inlets may harden and crack or the rubber rocket shaped pins, forgot what they're called, may harden and cause the carbs to flood... Happened to me before service carbs then end up spend about 200+ coz had to changed the wear and tear parts since take out lioz... Some more everything in 4 pieces... :cheeky:

happen to me lor that day when servicing carb but at least u know whats wrong inside your carb !!

hi guys, thinking of getting a L/hurricane model for cheap and fixing it up almost like a project bike.... every month put some $$ in fi and do it up... hoping you guys can share with me the cost of some servicing and parts so I can estimate if its worth the effort...

how much would it cost to:

overhaul engine

rewire, change harness, rectifier and other electrical parts

tune, service and replace parts of carburetor

fix radiator, hoses and have switch for fan

repair leaky forks

change tires, chain, brake pads (expendables)

aftermarket pipe

thanks in advance guys...

Cheap + fast = no good

Cheap + good = not fast

Good + fast = not cheap

From what I last heard, hurricane wire harness no more stock worldwide lioz... Bro Fx110 had to rewire his charging circuit himself... He had helped me rewire my charging circuit, after learning from him I had rewired the charging circuit myself a few time to date. That is how I survived without a replacement harness for 2 yrs+... :cheeky:

I am not too sure about this, but I would think parts wise hurricane parts might be a little more harder to get... I think the rear wheel is 18" not much choice for tyres I think... Bro Fx110 was telling me about this last time...

do we hav to warm up the engine regularly if dont ride the bike for few days ?

for how long the battery can last if never use the bike ?

You dun need to warm up regularly if a few days not riding... Longest I din ride my bike was about 2 weeks... After that when I start was able to start... Took 2 cranks but was able to start... I read somewhere that it is not good to start the engine to warm up then off the bike without riding... Forgot what is the rationale behind this... :cheeky:
