Agree with you dude now to use choke for a cold start. The caution for not to use choke is for a Warm engine only and should be avoided to prevent damage to the Piston.

had been riding wif it for almost 3 yrs le, no prob wif it leh. i even experiment wif my mech by switchin the longer cones wif the shorter 1s to see if there is any diff.

juz bend the edges a bit to tighten them when putting it back loh. but got sick of it when putting them back cuz gotta be careful not to knock it against the airbox if not it will drop off n i'll haf to readjust them again, so wanna get new 1s tat has got teeth to hold them tight. :cheeky:

my bike died on me. dunnoe y. died abt 5 times on the road in the evening alone at orchard and on the way back. try started but couldn't start for a while and smoke started to rise from below my tank. managed to start and continued but died later on when i stopped at the next traffic junction. it juz died. at the fifth time...it failed to restart after many attempts and i pushed the bike to the side and waited for 10 mins before it could restart. every single attempt to start the bike would result in smoke rising.

sorry for the long winded story. anybody knows y? my couz says its the magnetic coil but i juz changed it last mth.

Welcome to SBF. You posted in the wrong thread. This BabyBlade thread is dedicated to CBR400RR riders. There is a thread dedicated to CBR919/929/954/1000RR riders. Please post your questions there because the people there are much more knowledgable about your 1000RR than us.

From experience, most supersport tyres need to be warmed up a little. That may explain why the tyres are slippery when cold in the rain. But I think most new sports bikes come with adequate tyres.

You might actually want to set your suspensions. You will be surprised how much properly adjusted suspension can improve the bike's handling and traction.

imho i tink its the radiator too.. might be leaking big time or sumting.. causing the bike to overheat and thus engine cut.. wat does the thermostat read b4 it cuts off?

the radiator is a brand new one. i changed it becoz the old one was leaking. the temp doesn't even go more then 3/4 on the meter. slighty more than half only.

bro sure the temp din exceed? check ur coolant reservoir if theres water or coolant inside the 1 under ur seat.. there's 1nce my radiator fan got jammed by a small piece of stone n it caused my bike to overheat n leak all the coolant out lucky i got it fixed asap if not it might had led to worse problems.. is ur fan working?

Exactly so what you are doing is laboring the engine by letting it struggle at .9-1k when cold rather than using the choke to warm the engine up correctly. Congratulations you have figure out the best way to cause severe wear and tear to your engine internals by lugging the engine at low speed.

You should pull the choke on so that the bike warms up at 2.5-3k rpm to get the oil circulating and not labor the engine when cold. After around 30 seconds you can push the choke back in and the bike will idle CORRECTLY at its normal idle rate of around 1.3-1.4k

congrats me? wheres my present?

well... i simply got nothing to say.

A velocity stack is to smooths the flow of air entering the carb and can also provide a stronger "sonic" ram effect. It straigten air flow flow into motocycle carb and increase horsepower.

If you are bringing your babyblade onto track and are using Dunlop GPR70SP, be careful. The tyres don't give much warning before they lose grip due to heat cycling. Although the threads look okay, the tyre compound itself is no longer grippy. :giddy:
