Trouble is stock actually, from what I know; no stock for 120f for Rennsports and 150r for Racetecs that's why the riders around me mix n match.

250-400cc bikes are much more appreciated on the track in OZ compared to Singapore so thats probably why we have this stock problem here. Singaporeans are much more interested in big bikes...

I think KL has much better stock than we do...but prices may be a turnoff...

From what I know, there are 120f and 150R Pilot Power Race in SG...

oh any recommandation where can i purchase the 120f and 150R Pilot Race or pilot power at good price? Any shops?

Soft tyres would still be very good at PG.  The surface is not that bad really.  Pilot Power Race should be quite good tyres, can you get them in a 150 rear though?  Weird that the rennsport would not be available in a 120 front as that is the standard size that ALL modern sportbikes use?  a 120/70 front works fine with these tyres, so no need to restrict yourself to tyres that come in 120/60 size.

Rhema83 - You will have no problem at all warming them up.  I have run them before my CBR400 back home and they heat up nice and quick even in winter temps.  Over here with our warm climate you have absolutely nothing to worry about.  Give it 1 lap at 80% to warm them right up and then go for it.  That is what I generally do on any tyre though to be sure.

They are also fine in the wet but with the supercorsa's in particular there is no tread on the sides, the side of the tyres is like a slick tyre so you DO need to be careful to keep the bike nice and upright and not hammer it in the rain around town.  In damp track conditions this is not a problem as the tyres still warm up nicely even on a damp/drying track.  I have used these tyres on road rides and been caught in the rain on them before without incident.

It's always a trade off though when you ride on road and on track.  For me if I was going to the track every couple of weeks I would go for Supercorsa/rennsport to have best possible grip on the track and then just take it easy riding around town.  If I was only going to the track once every 2 months or so and riding around town a LOT in between then I would go for a tyre that is more road biased like the BT014 that I have on at the moment.  Very good around town and in the wet but still nice and grippy at the track as well.

Any clue how much the Supercorsa Pro tyres would cost me?

My workplace will like to be in town, so I won't ride to work. I am also quite a relaxed rider on the roads, so using DOT race tyres is not a big safety concern. It is more of a financial consideration.

At that pace and still do 10 sessions on a set of tyres? :goodluck:

well, you can either say he's a bit of a nutter or he knows how well the tires are holding.

hi guyz.. i seem to haf sum issues wif the rectifier.. ani one noes how much the original thing will cost?

maybe sum1 can recommend me rectifiers from other bikes that are more reliable that will fit on our blades?

Posted

hey guyz.. i found this webbie on this guy talking about modding the Hondas to fit in the Yamaha R1's rectifier as they last way longer then their honda counterparts..

Replacing Honda R/R

seems like R1s rect oso cost 100 odd.. so might as well.. he is right in sum sense.. because the larger bikes cum with electronics that are meant to tolerant higher ratings.. their spares last way longer esp wen used on the smaller machines due to the fact that our bike dun suck as much electricity..

i m not exactly sure man.. haven had the time to open her up and chk.. i m thinking of using other bikes rect.. probably not from Honda.. but from yamaha or suzuki 600s or 1000s..

cos u mention "oso cost 100 plus"

i assume yr rectifier spoilt b4.. and u spent 100 plus for that..

cos for that, u can get a rvf/super 4 rectifier wif fins on it..

if currently u using the fin, then maybe u can try change to other brand.

nvr actualli changed rectifiers b4.. but that is like the "standard" rate for these things.. the one for S4 wif fins can buy at LAB rite? does it actualli last?
