Come to think about it, the CBR400RR was a well-designed bike for age. There are many areas that need improvement but it is a pretty competitive package overall.

I wish there were more trick parts for this bike, insteading of having to source for CBR600 parts that also fits this bike. Oh well...

Anyway, nice paintjob Tronicians. :thumb:

Yes IMO the CBR400 NC29 was a revolutionary design of its age. If I remember correctly my friend bought it in the 90's at about $15-$16k brand new. The gull arm was inspired by GP bikes, and if you see properly the RC211V still uses this design along with the rims (design).

There are performance parts for the bike - radiators, carbs, wiring harness etc. which are mostly for racing purposes and nowadays hard to find. In standard form the bike is good enough for the roads, although may be a little uncomfortably hot going into congested traffic (all sportsbikes do anyway).

Between Water wetter, Engine Ice and Maxima Coolaide...

Which is the most suitable for the CBR400?

Coolant is coolant. You won't see a significant change between different brands, just different prices depending on how they market.

30 front and 35 rear is completely unbalanced and will give poor handling. Front will feel sloppy vague as the pressure is too low.

I run 34/34 on the road and 30/30 on the track (you run a lower temp on the track as you heat the tyres up a lot more so the operating pressure at the end is the same)

Can trust. I've been with him for years. But the wait is long. Usually I make appointments. The mech is too busy. He does a lot of S4/CBR/RVF though.

I run 33psi on road, and 30psi on track. I seldom pillion so I don't take that into account.
