i agreed that iridium is expensive, but spark plugs for $9, tat's was really cheap. You change it urself?

hmm.. last month my rectifier spoilt... which burnt my magnetic coil.. which in turn drained the battery until cannot recharge anymore...

 

i think ur battery will not be recharged automatically anymore... i rode for one week push starting everyday.... but a bit difficult to ride... cos cannot let go of throttle or bike will go off... finally after one week... cannot even push start... haha

 

anyway all three together including labour cost me $480.. hope this helps...

since u all say L model no power cut but N and R model got powercut.. is that the reason y i see like L model like more expensive while N and R are abt 2k lesser..

just wanna repost something if dun mind.. my headlght switch is faultly. If i recall correctly, in the past threads..HKL they do it for $70++ right? dunno with installation or not. Pls advise if this amount is still correct as i need to change my headlight switch. Or if anyone got 2nd hand lobang even better. tks.. and cheers..

It's cheaper cos it's older...Yes powercut can be removed but y go thru the hassle ? Maybe u jus c wat model u can find , jus take take and join our babyblade community... :thumb: :thumb:

hi guys.. any 1 noe where to get cheap and small voltage of bulb for our headlamp?? when i on my headlight my volt meter from 12v drop to 9v.. check wif mechanic and he told me de previous owner using cheap bulb which cause more voltage... and he selling de original bulb 1 for $28 which i don tin its resonable... any1 noe where got sell??

The stock 60/35W bulbs are made by Stanley. There is a way to allow you to use the much more common 60/55W bulbs, which is to wire the headlight through a relay, which is then controlled by the switch. This way the switch won't be burned, and you have more / cheaper bulbs to choose from.

 

But from 12V to 9V is a big change. You should check the battery and charging system. When I use both my headlights on high beam (60W x2) the voltage only drops to 12V. Normally it is 13+V.

cbr original headlight bulb is 35/60W

but now very hard to hard..

normally will use 55/60W bulbs which super 4 is using now..

that y the voltage drop is so great..

maybe he dun not crank the engine... that y initial reading is 12 V..

if the guy selling u the 35/60W one, then u can get from him..

another alternative is unplug one side of the headlight..

Anyone has replace their shim in their engine? An approximate cost?

Cost for shims depends on your valve clearances. Have to get the clearances measured and work out what size shims you need and how many of them. If every shim needs to be replaced then it will obviously cost you a lot more than if just 1 or 2 are out of spec.

 

If you haven't had the valve clearances checked for a long time its likely to cost more!

 

Average price I would say about 250-300 to check and set all valve clearances.

check wif mechanic liaoz.. he said my headlight voltage too strong so when de light is on i cant start.. therefore had to off de light... and 1 more tin is if i park longer den 1 hour i oso cant start even when i off my light.. i had to on and off de light den it will start.. so funny... dunno wad problem oso... any 1 encounter tis??

 

anyway de original bulb 1 for $28 is far too ex liaoz... lab got sell lower voltage 1 anot?

just change rectifier and magnetic coil, haiz bike dead half way when going back hm, ask u all arr

wat is the cos of rectifier n magnetic coil to burn ?? and hw long can my new coil n rect last ???

hi all,,,jux now at CTE my bike rev rev then seem like the oil cannot go in then sunddenly the bike die off by itself ,,,after that i stop at the side ,m,y frend help me push start then ok le,,still can go,,after that we reach bugis ,i stop the bike and makan and i still can start the bike and still can ride home,,,,,what is the problem with the bike huh?any old bird blader can tell me?...sian :giddy:
