Bernard,thank you guys for supporting me, you know I would like to meet at your club if it is ok. I am slowly making progress, swelling, pain and ocassionaly cramns still there. I go back to hospital for periodical re-view at Tan Tock Seng for Ortho and National University Hospital for 'heart'. I can't believe Justice Choo overturning the Lower Court sentence of 18 months and reduce to 1 day and a 2K fine. What I can say a shocking surprise for me, unbelieveable, illogical, un-acceptable, ridiculous and a mockery to law and justice. A sad day for me and generally for the bikers, my spirit plummet down to rock bottom. I know that I am Mr. Nobody and my poor Indonesian maid who died; as foreigner her life is worth nothing, dispensible. We without higher up connections are nothing just rubblish to be down throtten. In comparison in my early days as Asst. Manager in a big shipping company. I used to attend Sub-court on behalf for our crew-members being hauled in court for shop-lifting. Normally I paid a fine and they are jailed 1 day, which means they are held in a lock-up within the court premises and released at the end of the day (5pm). I fetch them back to the ship and that was it; simple as the case not considered serious and they are let off lightly. But in my case someone died and I am badly maimed. From a hyper active person I am reduced to this miserable state. My passion for flying ended for my wings are clipped, my diving-suit and ridng boots hung-up for Christmas decoration. All this for 1 day and 2K ? As I have mentioned I am a Singapore Citizen though not highly educated, say semi and is confused. Can anyone answer me me "Is this Justice".My son quoted me (1 Peter 2:19)'When a man can suffer injustice and endure hardship through his awareness of God's presence, this is the work of grace in him'

wow yah man 200 bikers omg POLLUTION TO THE MAX + WHAT A SIGHT MAN hahahaha deffinitely will have an impact. I think all we do is wear white t shirts put red dyes on it and abit of fake tire marks and some people hold signs saying "do we look like roadkills?"

 

wait kena unlawful assy...thats why i recommend go for convoy ride. ride in appropriate speed. with safety marshall(maybe have some ST11 bros within the 200??LOL) along the way.all wear t-shirts with the slogan. dun need say anything dun need do anything other then do the things which we do best; ride on our bikes safely.its better not to fall on the wrong side of the law..especially in Spore. This is not USA, where there's freedom of speech. Here, anything that the Gahment feel not right, they will come down hard.

 

But we can't just sit back and allow all these injustice to take place and do nothing, can we? We bikers are human too. Being the so called "elite" or being a minister does not makes them a bigger human being then any of us.Come on..here in SBF, its where Singaporean Bikers unite.. lol Lets make our pressence felt!

Ts leh?? I will definately attend. I don't mind arranging but who am I to lead the 200 strong men and women? lol. Need someone more senior. I don't think we would need to inform the media. The media will definately know. Anyway the media is just a phonecall away. But we must project ourselves as a peaceful protest. Our primary aim should be to raise awareness to the public, let them know that this kind of things are happening in Spore. Let the public know that we bikers are not reckless or dangerous road users. We are not and should not try to force the gahment to change the verdict or anything. All these should be our goal.

I have met up with ts b4, and the few of us that met up unanimously agreed that we want to steer away from "protest", "rally", "change the verdict" ideologies.

 

Instead we should focus on "Safety for ALL road users", "Safety for riders", "In Memory of those fallen", "Road safety day" ideologies.

 

The 200+ riders who signed up did not give any promise whatsoever as to "attend" anything. They merely share similar thoughts and expressed their views.

 

Even if we were to "protest peacefully", how do u think the media will receive us? As heroes? or as villians?

 

As i have stated in my other posts through other threads, WHO ARE BIKERS ANYWAY? Y shd the media/ public give us so much attention?

 

In their eyes, what constitutes the bikers community? Self-proclaimed "scums of the society"? Die hard lacer? "Knock mirrors and run away"? "cheapos who cant afford cars"?

 

Who will want to help "such a community"?

 

If we were to merely, as in really merely, stage a "peaceful protest", what kind of image do we further conjure up?

 

While I am angry with such kind of verdict, I also unds that in order to make a substantial effort for the above ideologies, we bikers have to show first, that we are not really the "scums of the society" etc.

okays. Charitable bikers association...we all go shave our heads on 5th July for the Hair for Hope thingy while holding onto a banner that says, "Fairness & Safety for ALL road users".
