sidetrack: i just remembered - the bend that he met with an accident, not the first accident to happen there. 4 years ago, another guy died there too, at the accident scene, big bike too. the only other coincidental thing is that they're both 26. what I'm trying to say is, please take extra care. my brother rode past that bend for as long as he has been riding. whatever made him skid there is indicating that 1. the bend is actually more dangerous than we thought it to be 2. something you're familiar with can also be your enemy.

 

So, please ride safe-r! Safe not enough, safe-R!

Sorry Yong! By the way, my parents are very grateful to the whole gang for the cohesive relationship you have with my late bro. It's been a difficult time for all of us, especially my mum.

 

You see, my bro shared a very close relationship with my mum and his siblings, like friends. He used to share every single thing in his life with my mum, but because of some argument with me and it's difficult for my mum to take sides, he chose to close that door of his, only interacting when necessary. My son though, is the closest to him in the past year of cold war and its really difficult when this 3 yr old boy keep telling us that his uncle is sleeping; or his uncle fell off the bike, bleed, is in pain and now 'no more'..

 

So here I am, trying to make amends to my mum for this considerate behaviour of my bro, and my idiotic and senseless argument with him. :I

 

Anyway, thanks everybody for the thoughts and for coming down that afternoon. The undertaker made a comment that made my parents proud and even sadder of my bro. He said his is the first wake of a young man he has done so far and had so many attendees turning up, especially when it's so near to CNY.

 

Once again,a BIG Thank You to Iron Horse on behalf of my family.

 

I don't know what to say to help to ease the pain you & your family is facing, but to rest assure that he is at a better place...

 

We miss him dearly.

It is the very least that we can do and we are glad and honoured to be able to accompany him on his last journey. Please send our regards to your family.
