Filming my ride

I am using mobius action cam too. Your video seem to be very smooth as in no shaking, what mount did you use?

Also, i uploaded videos to youtube, but youtube encoding suddenly make my video darker than usual. Do you do anything before uploading to youtube?

Here is my video.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wq4Qt9D7tME

Didn't do anything for youube upload but youtube vid is more pixelated compared to original. very obvious in the fraser hill vid with lots of vegetation passing by.

For my rear cam no mount was used. The mobius is just velcro to my rack. My rack is very solid lol. Tried mounting on top of box but more shaky.

Your video does seem dark. My is WDR on, 1080p 30fps, High quality with the latest firmware.

Finally received the latest SJ4000 WIFI by SJCAM with the latest Novatek chipset from TaoBao

I use camera (male) screw piece , bought from ebay, bolt on to a L shape metal bracket, with a spare rubber damper for IU. To mount I just screw on the SJ4000 action camera with the supplied female threaded piece.

I've been using a gopro HD hero1, SJ4000 & the SJ6000.

Essentially the gopro 1 - decent day shots, crappy night shots

SJ4000 - good day video quality, but also not very good night video

SJ6000 - Good day video quality and decent night video. (but there's still some noise in the night video mode)

I think you should take into consideration the type of file the camera is recording in. for my GP1 and SJ6000 its both in MP4. the SJ4000 is in .mov thus can be a challenge when you want to do some video editing. the programme must be able to read MOV files or you must have a converter. Major plus points for the SJ4000 & SJ6000 is its cost price. Much much lower than the Gopro (whichever series).

Just my 2 cents worth. Have yet to find one thats perfect.

Perfect is subjective. These cams were built really well. Only downside for me is that it had to be removed when parking otherwise someone would just snatch it away. Currently using a car DVR but due to wear and tear from the weather the lens gets damaged. Not surprised as it is a DVR for cars. A perfect one for me would be something that is inconspicuous, yet does not need to be taken out after parking, records once ignition key is set to on, durable, reasonably priced and can shoot just as well at night and day. Have yet to find any that fits all of those. :dot:

Anyone using the innovv c3? Seems designed with bikes in mind. Btw is there any real need for a rear cam?
Not really a must but good to have as it would be handy if some crazy driver rear ended you. These drivers will admit their mistake in your presence but when they make a report they will flip the story saying that you 'reversed' into them. They are capable of creating such 'interesting' stories like those you watch in sci-fi movies. A bit exaggerated but you get me I hope. Edited by duo

Capacitor type, 120° lens. Installed it so that it is switched on when bike is switched on.

Installed a USB socket for it. Both USB socket and recording unit is under the seat.

Will upload a couple of footages later on.
