Is sat 26 Nov 8.00pm at Changi Village still on? If yes can Neo ask Tiffiny to send email to all Ducati Owners. I think the good turn up at Bugis the last time was mainly due to the emailing by Minerva.

While turning right, got hit by a car from the left, who swerved right at the last minute. Low speed fall, around 20km/h. Very ridiculous accident...

I don't wanna post the details, but the cosmetic damages are really heartbreaking, esp the clutch cover. Bike fell on my ankle and shin, but no bone fractures.

Oh yea, the Speedymoto clutch cover held up very well to the crash. Not even bent. :thumb:

this kind of accident, both turning right, quite subjective. Did he admit it to be his fault? anyway good to know, its only cosmetic. no real damage and you're alright, which is the most impt. dude, keep out of accidents man! thats 2 right? in as many as 6 months

Hi everyone!

Still not yet taken cls2a yet (next Feb), but thinking quite hard about a ducati for my cls2. anyway, i have a few questions i hope some of the more experienced people can help:

what is the difference between the 2V and 4V engines? for example, between the S2R1000 992cc air cooled and the S4R 996cc liquid cooled engines? besides the peak torque and HP values, of course. In terms of available torque, especially at low rpms? or anything else that is significant? anything else performance related?

i suppose that the 2V 1000DS engine is simpler and looks much neater under either the monster, or the multistrada, but then, how is the potential for overheating in singapore?

and oh yeah, the 748cc 749 superbike engine is not found on any other ducati model right? also, am i right to say that the only 4V engines are the 749/749S/749R/999/999S/999R/S4R/S4RS/, and all of them are liquid cooled?

thinking very hard about what cls2 bike to get, and giving myself about a year + to research the candidates... now tending toward a multistrada 1000S, or the Monster S2R1000... the 4V engines i think are a little too complicated. Not too interested in plastic cos plastic is expensive!

Anybody can direct me to a site which does a comparison of Duc engines?

And btw, anybody diy your own valve clearance before? is it really hard to learn/do?

where are good sites to research ducatis?

Thanks guys!

more questions:

ducati engines (current in production models) are the air-cooled (name?) 620 and 1000DS, desmoquattro (e.g. S4R), and testastretta (superbike and S4Rs), correct? what other engine families are there? (ST3 3V?)

where's a good site to learn about the engine families? or anyone can help?

Thanks!
