Went track on Sat and it was a eye opener to me in many aspects.

There was about 15 or so Ducatis there on that morning itself. Monsters, HyperMotard, 996, 916, 999, 1098s, multi-stradas... Practically, you name it, it is there!!!

Enough to make any ducati fan go gaa-gaa.....

Riding on track was totally a new experience for me. I realise how much I do not know about the bike and for that matter, how much I do not know how to ride a sports bike..

With other bikers overtaking me left and right at super speeds, I 'retire' to the pits after 45 mins of 'sightseeing' as I kept having the fear that I am a hazard to the other bikes...

Not sure if I will want to attempt it again on a weekend.....

You are right the trip there and back was the sucky part.

:giddy:

Don't worry, u're not a hazard. Every new rider will start off slowly on the track.

Becuz of that accident we saw, that's y the traffic was terrible.

Anyway, my friends and myself are planing to go track on a weekday. maybe mon or tue. We'll take leave for it. Less people at the track so it will feel better for u. :thumb:

AHH.... BROKE my side mirror. Is it cheaper to buy it from Fabian Looi? (question goes out to all Duke Riders)

Haha... Yes.. U're riding the S4R or S4S.

Cant really see the helamt in ur pic, but it looks cool. The tinted visor and jacket.

Nice meeting u too....

A few weeks ago, i saw Casey Stoner's Helmat for sale at Minerva.

Oh Gosh!!! How wish i had that.

Oh ya... one more thing, Any idea how to change our helmat's visor? i wanna replace it those that has clips at the corners, so i can put a transparent film(like in the Motor GP), or can also put a tinted film. i thought of heading down to Chiong Aik since they are the distributors.

No bro im only riding the Monster 400 haha.

I do know how to change the visor, u gotta jab out the two thingys at the two ends of the visor. They are quite tightly clipped to the helmet and need quite a bit of strength to yank them out, it may seem like u broke it when u pull it out but its fine. Theres a thin opening where the visor starts, thats where u pull out the caps.

I dont really understand what u mean by the clips at corners. The film meaning those that u stick on and can pull off layer after layer like the racers? Opposite Regina Racing specialist on Jln Besar is the Suomy shop, they are also the dealer u might want to check it out. I got my tinted visor from there. Cheers!

Let me know.. I am interested to try it once to see how it is during the weekday and hopefully get more tips and advice from you guys.

How many hours is available for the weekday session?

Corse > Those are pinlock visors, for use with tearoffs.

From my experience, a proper tinted visor works better. And don't get those irridium ones, because the 'mirror' coating can flake off and the view is just crap afterwards.

Hmmmm.....this post is useless without pics. :cheeky:

Come on, show a pic or 2, and I wanna see you beside the 748 in full suit.

Good for you. Maybe now all the "crap" I told you before at the coffeeshop makes sense  There's a lot of enjoyment to be had, if you ride a Ducati in a track.

At least from Johor Circuit to 2nd link, the traffic is still flowing, with some chances to do some 2 or 3 secs 180kph to cool down the bike before slowing down to some 80ish between cars speed.

I am happy for you, and sad for myself that the bike and I did not make it to the SMSA clubman. Damn! It's bittersweet to read about the recent race at Johor Circuit.

Oh, you still using those Pilot Powers? Time to change if you are going track. You dun need Dot race just yet.

Ha...buy what from Gerry Looi? Side mirror, there's only 1 place to get it -----> Minerva. There's always Ebay and internet shopping options. Gerry Looi gets their spares from Minerva also.

Sorry Corse, 999 and 749 will not be able to make it's way to Gerry Looi because of the special tools. Only older generation Ducs are serviceable there. I tried to get Flowers to service his 999 there, but it could not be done. You get contact from Ming (Cagiva03) for the shop he visit. Excel I think.

It's along Deskar Road, Chong Aik. So from Regina, you will need to make it across the street to turn right into Deskar. Further down is KinTai, distributor for Continental. Try the Conti Race Attack Comp (Dot race tyre). New product.

And Eric, Ang mo rider on a red 999, just couldn't stop blowing his bike whenever its runnning. I bet some Jap bike riders were starting to get irritated.

He wasnt doing it on purpose, a spring from his termignoni pipe came off and was stuck somewhere and he was worried about it thats why.
