I knew someone got the Dainese Ducati suit at a better price, but it's not like $1.2k of course, as it is still Dainese, have to pay Valentino Rossi some royalty afterall

Corse, I had a Suomy 1 piece before, but had to sell away because it was too big for me. Got it from States, cuz SG dun have it then, except the 2 piece Batman model ("Badman" on a bike seems super corny!). It was good, except the plastic tab under your neck to secure the zipper ripped after a few use.

After u mentioned abt ur Batman suit, that reminds me...

From far, when u look at the Suomy logo, it kinda looks like the Batman logo.:faint:

Marcus and Ming, or M'n'M? haha.

How was track on Monday? Weather in S'pore seems nice and cool. Not very sunny in the central area.

i was stuck at 1.52 on Maxis tyres, not my favourite Racetec though. Actually practising in the rain is good for high power/torque bike (like ur 999). It's helps a lot in throttle control, thats how i used to practise last time. U will tend to pay a lot of attention to how u open ur throttle, and how ur rear tyres reacts(unknowingly), cos u r constantly afraid of having a low side. And after riding in the rain, u will ride better in the dry and understand how ur bike performs. All thanks to junjie who drag me along into the rain years back(i intended to rest in the pit at first). And after that i do not have much problems on wet track, helps to bulit up ur confidence too.

It's always good to start up slow, and to be frank, my first hour of timing was 2.03, and that's REAL SLOW.... It took me another hour to get used to my bike after full servicing and my new sets of tyres which i do not know how to bring out its full potential, to a timing of 1.52. To me i think that was 70 RM well spent. Marcus is picking up very well too, he is now testing on Avon tyres, not bad after all... Maybe i might consider changing to that next month.

Woo hoo... My japanese colleque with international racing licence, who used to be in endurance race in Japan, is joining some of my colleaques to PG on sat,8th dec. I'm trying to take leave to join them. i've learned lots of stuff from these Jap guys.

And yes Ming, i agree with You. Practicing in the wet is good. I've had the same experience too when i was practicing in my school with the Super 4s and CB750cc. Drifting and power sliding on wet grounds.

But this is my bike, so i'm still a little afraid. Of course if it rains 1 day when i'm already at PG, i'll defitnately give it a try.

Bro, you referring to the Maxxis Presa Sport? It is not a DOT Race tyre like Racetec, just to let you know. It's a "High performance Radial tire designed for the occasional track day, and aggressive street rider." as quoted from ---> http://www.maxxis.com/products/motorcycle/product_detail.asp?id=5517

I was told by someone that it's a Dot Race but somehow felt bumpy. So I checked the web for information, I am kind of horrified by all the mis-led information. It is a tyre like a Diablo Corsa, with a rounder profile than DOT Race tyres.

I did not, and have not say that Maxxis Presa Sport is a bad tyre, what I wanted to highlight to my friends that this is not a DOT Race tyre, just like Continental ContiForce Max which I used last time. The slicks on the sides does not necessary means DOT Race.

:thumb:  Just looking out for my friends, in case someone told you it's a DOT Race. Of course Charn can use the Maxxis to smoke all of us here using RaceTech any day, but not knowing the truth is wrong.

A veteran ex racer always tell me: "Use the right tyre for the tracks, be it fast or slow. Tyre testing is not for everybody, it is a complicated job. Just use the right tyre." So should the advise of someone capable of high 1.30s in PG be taken? I think so.

I just heard from Marcus that more than 10 Dukes were at the PG today this morning. ****, i miss the fun !!! And he say he saw a couple of new 1098 owners. I think Motogp really have an impact in Sgp.Last few years, all u see was R6s and R1s.... And ever since Rossi lose his title consecutively for 2 years, the yamahas has been disappearing. This show how "loyal" Singaporeans are. Then if next year Kawasaki win , u will start to see a lot of ZX-10 on the road already!

well, ducati report 17.6 millions profit after tax this year.. although the year haben finish yet only 9 months report.. compare to last year loss of 4.6 millons for same period.. well, think motogp winnings really influence buyers to grab the bikes..

Actually bro, not that the Yammies are disappearing.....those PG Yammies regulars are racing in MSS, Sepang. I can name more than five from those whom I knew already.

Those who bought a Duc because of Stoner, er..... Let's see how many bought Duc because of Troy Bayliss. I can't wait for MotoGP 08, and WSBK 08.

Among these Oxtar actually the best priced.

Start solenoid loose. Though it was mentioned before?

Yes.

I told my mechanic abt the loose solenoid, but he checked and say its ok and tighten.

Now the problem happens again. :sian:
