Not sure...But from a paper report the other time, i tot i saw the report saying around 5 buyers for Desmo RR locally..Maybe some not for road bax...

They just fail you.

 

Swopping the pipes is not enough to Pass... You need to use back the original ECU also.

 

Mine failed the CO2 with the stock pipes/DP ECU

so do you change it yourself and if so is it easy and does it take long? or you send back to Minerva and ask them to do it instead? also, do they charge you for it?

I use to change the pipes and swop the ECU myself. Takes practice... takes 10mins. Those were the days when I was staying with my parents in a private compound. After I've got my HDB flat it's a pain to carry the pipes back and forth. so I ride to minerva change oil/service and have them send the bike for inspection and collect another day

I believe for the purpose of the vehicle inspection, as far as the exhaust system is concerned, the criteria are dB level and CO2 emissions. Regardless of ECU and exhaust system. My bike passed the test recently on both aspects; and it is hardly stock.

 

On the other point - never been stopped by TP/LTA for pipes.

how much does minerva charge? I have mine towed for inspection, *miracles happen*, bike comes back, inspection slip follows a few days later... not very ex either. saves me a hell lotta trouble of switching pipes

There is actually more than 10 person on the waiting list..... But i dun think more than 3 Desmos will eventually reached singapore... First Desmo owner is a German guy as i have already mentioned in a few post above this page... Machine price was tagged at $135K 6 months ago...

just a quick qns.. those who have termi on their bike and come inspection will you guys bother to change back to stock or actually the inspectors won't bother either? anyway, have anybody been caught on the road by police for having termi?

 

just wondering because if i buy termi 2k+ and everytime get caught and must keep changing back very troublesome..

 

So far i do not have any problems with "Vicom" inspection centres... They passed me easily .... As for the TPs issue, i fully agree with red rocket... As long we respect them, 99% of the time, they will "give chance". Of course if U shoot down 180km/h in KPE tunnel, i think only Lee Kuan Yew would be able to save U! just kiddin....

hi guys,

 

we previously just moved to this place, I had to leave my "beloved" 748r at home. currently chasing a second hand bike for no money ;-) used to own a modified m900 (1996-2004) as well, so if you know a bike sitting somewhere with only 2 cylinders just drop me a line. If someone need some advice just drop me a line, used to do my own maintenance my 900 was a piecer and the 748r is running on a 853cc kit......

thanks, too old and too big, not long got class2 and a little concerned about going straight to big bike,

He's just seen a Monster 620Dark, may try this for 6 months, then a 1298 :-)

Hey guys, when are either of you going PG again? I'm a newbie and the last time I've been there is back in july last year... looking for kakis hehe. Itching to go back after a crash there... (turn 5 urgh!)

 

Red rocket, I don't know if you remember me but we've spoken several times in the past, I can't remember how long though (maybe longer). I'm Nat, used to ride a 900SS then a multistrada in the past. I remember you used to own a 996 and a wave right? Hope I'm not mistaken?
