May i know how does the RC8 actually compares to the 1098 base model? Any 1st-hand experience anyone?

 

If you're going to the more exotic one, of course RC8 is more exotic to most people. But whether you're getting your money's worth - I dunno.

 

No 1st-hand exp, but personally I feel (in layman terms), KTM is not a superbike manufacturer, they make Motards. Ducati is. U can see youtube, there are a few comparisons on lap times, rider reviews etc. There's one that MCN did on all the European superbikes, RC8 was the hardest to ride and was also the slowest, just behind the F4. With the RSV4, 1198 and S1000rr taking top 3.

IMO, preload adjusters are more for visual bling bling.

you only set your front preload according to your weight once usually
