Got myself an 08 HM S afew weeks back. Can't stop riding it, just too much fun. Hehe. Very addictive growl

I just need to fix up the mirrors on mine, and am considering the open clutch cover. Question: I just need to get the open clutch cover, and the clutch pressure plate and I am good to go, just bolt on? Also, any issues about rain/dust spoiling it? I searched and the consensus is it's not much of an issue, but i'm worried as workplace carpark has no shelter and it's going to be in the rain etc. Thanks guys, any comments appreciated.

Great! Another hypie! Due to dry clutch., tts good to do open clutch system. As there is no other ways of cooling it during long use, air is the only way to do it. Yes, just buy a open clutch, remove stock and bolt it on. Can be done by yourselves. But changing of presure plate, with spring and spring caps is recommendable to be done by bike shop. Not to worry about weather issue because open clutch is a trademark of ducati and used by all for years. Perhaps the only concern is someone sabotage you by squeezing glues, stones, sticky chewy stuffs inside. But i doubt it will happen in singapore. Unless you really piss that person alot.

I am newbie in ducati. Cant provide much insight which clutch cover is the best. Personally i am using woodcraft open clutch cover. I dont like those clutch cover with holes at the bottom. So far woodcraft suits all i need. I am afraid that my shoe laces may get chewed in.

Scuddy, your bike is not on open clutch cover?

Posted

Ohayo: Yup, doesnt feel right for the dry clutch to be covered. Another qn, where did you get the brembo adapter for the mirror, and price?

Scuddy: Sure no problem, though i wont be getting it so soon. Enquired at motoworld, they dont have stock for the rizoma covers, have to order. Shall try motovation...

Wow you monitor Hyper Motard sale 24hrs a day? Yeah I saw this one also but didn't make any enquiry. I prefer 2-1-2. Looks nicer to me. I don't really care about the performance advantage :)

Thanks for the heads up!
