Hi Rider, I have a temptation of getting another bike (probably brand new). Any feedback of the 848 Evo , such like the power or is the heat of the engine / exhaust bearable for street riding ? Also usually what will the agent throw in for a new purchase with them (freebies, discount )?

Would like to hear from you guys. With thanks

Hi guys, I'm looking forward to purchasing a Streetfighter somewhere next month. Could anyonr share their experience in regards to maintaining their bikes? Like, how much would you spend a year if you clock say, 10k mileage year? :cheeky:

I recently got an 848evo and have found it to be a great bike to ride. You'll find ample power, great acceleration and it delivers a great sound (still prefer the dry clutch rattle though).

It does get HOT so if mainly stuck in start/stop commuting traffic you will get a hot ass (but most superbikes are like this).

I think you'll find minimal movement on price from Minerva but they have great service -I recommend you negotiate without insurance and shop around.

Brand new? 848 or the S model?

after 1K run in is about 100+ - 200 and ur next servicing will be 12k, in between just do e basic EO, oil filter, spark plug (optional) or u can dun change.

I've spend about $600+ cos I change oil more frequent. Its a fcuking fun bike :) gd luck

Yo guys, do you experience a lot of backfires when you ride your bike? Can it be wrong tuning?

SBSSAR may i know your evo's roughly mileage on a full tank? I think mine is a bit too low.

2010-2011: Gilera ST200

2011-2013: Honda RVF 400RRL

2015 - 2016 : Ducati 848evo

Present: Tmax IronMax

Termi is not the cause but the cure, most probably is the AFR unless u reflash ur ECU or change to a Race ECU with slip on or full system, the backfire will exist

I'd second that. Best fricken class2 bike I've ridden so far..

If I am riding in stop/start city traffic the mileage sucks (think less than 150). If I leave the East with a full tank and head via the 2nd link to KL I need to stop twice to fill the tank (but arrive with quite a lot of fuel left).

I have stock exhaust and quite like that crackle n pop sound...

Anyways, if the weather is good Saturday morning I plan to goto Pasir Gudang circuit. Are any other heading over?

Posted

I went over to Pasir Gudung today and had nearly a whole hour of the track by myself (which would normally be great but as learning is better when you can follow an experienced racer's line).

Two others joined near the end of my hour session and I followed them around the track... I am obviously turning way to quick into the corners.

150 with stock is low man.. Mine 180-200 with termi full system.. 200-220 with stock..

I only count till the yellow light comes on, think there is another 40-50km till empty
