hello again guys, it seems that my 848 evo aint happy with me. firstly thanks for helping out previously. Now it seems that my gear lever is stuck =[ . While i was moving into the multistorey carpark, dropped down a couple of gears and suddenly realised that my lever was stuck downwards, dont know which gear. bike is able to move if i play with the clutch while moving off however there is a clacking sound like something trying to engage or disengage. but not able to change to any gear. anyone experienced this before? would gladly like to hear possibilities before calling up for tow back to minerva. thanks.

Gear selector fork probably needs some attention. If that's the case and he bike is out of warranty then you are looking at a hefty labour bill as the transmission is in the engine and not cassettes type. Good luck and I hope I am wrong. Hopefully just a rusty shifter bearing eyelet.

i was washing my sexy mistress last friday, somehow i wet her clutch and the front pressure plate wouldn't engage when i changed gears but if it was in neutral and/or i rode her, all the plates would move.

anybody faces such issues before?

should i bring my mistress to see the doctors in minerva?

Yo bro i fixed the frosting issue on my headlights, when I first took the bike the headlights were cloudy like yours but there is an easy (though labour intensive) fix. The problem is that the cloudiness you describe is a collection of dirt and grime on the inside of the headlight (no amount of cleaning the outside can fix this)

First you gotta take the headlights out and completely disassemble them until you are left with just the glass lenses.

The lenses are like little bottles, with a small opening at the back, too small to put your hand into.

So you completely fill the headlights with solvent cleaner (I think I used turpentine or methylated spirits? Can't remember which, I don't think it matters) which can be bought from a DIY shop.

With the liquid in the lenses, you use a stick or chopstick on a rag and clean the hell out of the lenses on the inside. Spend a lot of time swooshing the solvent around in the lens so it gets to all the hard to reach places.

Periodically drain out the dirty fluid (it will be very dirty) and put new fluid in to clean.

Once you're satisfied, drain the fluid, wipe with a cloth as much as possible and leave the lenses out in the sun for at least half an hour. Make sure theres no trace of liquid or evaporated solvent left in the lens otherwise you'll blow up your headlight bulbs when you reassemble and turn it on.

Once you're sure its totally bone dry, reassemble your headlight. It should look good after that. You can see the headlights on my bike which should be indicative of the final result next time we meet up or something, you basically get it back to about 80-90% of brand new standard

Overall i'd say it worth the effort because it makes the bike look a lot less tired and worn out.

If you want to save effort, you can also find a used set of lenses on ebay or something and swap them out..but this option will cost more $$$$

sat i went down and see, they show me the wiring got cutted & soldering before. therefore there might be the reason why my ECU can't be detectable now. now they have to order new set of wire harness to replace my bike and see if the ECU can detect anot and then check the rest of the problem.

hmm if really instrument panel is the problem for the error, can i buy any 2nd hand 749 instrument panel and replace or have to be the same model year back?

Wat was the full error code displayed? Only 37.2? I've experienced IMMO 37.5 before once after washing my bike.. tunes out the immobalizer could detect the key. Bike couldnt start at all... Cleaned the sensor n tidied up the wire.. bike was back to normal.

Hi guys, I'm a proud new owner of a ducati 916. This is my first time riding this beauty and I would love to find out if there is any upcoming gathering that I can come by and find out more details about the bike.

I also realised that the circuit behind my headlamps are exposed, is there any place I can go to get it cover back? I presume there use to be a rubber cover of sorts to shield it from rain, hope to hear from you guys soon, Cheers..
