Oooh. and on the mechanic front... I've asked this chap called Stroker on the Scrambler board to help put me in touch with one of their mechanics, I need to have my cylinder head re-profiled... If he's any good, I'll let you know.

its ok man. the best is u be there to see him do it. porting cost me $100. cos i brought to him and empty case. hehe. ya do update me on the profiling of the head. still wondering if i want to reprofile my head. compression too big keep detaching the exhaust.

 

Currently im not into any engine project. the truth is i cant afford the exclusive part from worb5. Student still. probably next time.

No Worries Maz... will keep you updated....

 

Cehphelix... its hard to tell... but chances are your scoot hasn't had the casings matched to the cylinder (ported cases)... The only way to check is to disassemble the engine and see if the port on the cylinder is the same size as that on the engine casings...

hmm i thought i just saw iskandar junior's old black and red vespa going past at balestier. some more the size of the new rider resembles his so closely. gosh these days when i hear the spluttering of a vespa engine, i really make an effort to check out the bike, then the rider haha

u might want to try asking him. did ask him abt cutting up crank but he dont want. u will end up gg islandwide trying to find someone to port ur engine case. but i think abg jas at jalan besar got do it. most of his bikes are super fast. hes kindda of the master tuner for racing vespa. not that the rest are no gd. he tunes the bike matriculously.

dun know leh. but you can find it easily. it's along horne road, directly opposite jalan besar stadium

the name of the shop is roda dua. his pricing is between ah joo and TA. so ya not bad la. wanna go fast? speed kills. haha. theres alot to consider. most are very technical. gearing, crank, transfer port, crank arm stroke, carb jetting exhaust and what not. very complicated stuff. read up haynes manual if u can get it. im still searching for it.

Morning people, I'm in Chiangmai now....I found a vespa parts shop here...maybe can get some parts cheaper than from SG...

so if anyone wanna get anything..I might be able to bring back some...unless the item is bulky...

Just let me know what you're looking for, how much you can get it in SG, then I go check the price...

if I see cheaper, I let you know...

I will try to profit a little...only if you still save money compared to getting in SG icon-smile.gif
