he now mia liao leh, u nv see the post so many on him. His ball suddenly become so small until he dun even dare to post in forum liao.

 

But!!! i nv drove b4 such a weak converted ts with a EJ20 + "dunno-wtf-turbo". Tell me near 300 ponies, but when i step on the throttle feel more jialat than a CTR. :faint:

well well well in anycase fr e 1st impression i got fr him was waaa equipped wif a TC hmm loud exhaust but a poor driving skill tht nearly smash up our food for e gathering.. guess i miss out e front part of e event as i heard he was circulating e Stretch of Yishun Dam err.. dunnoe how many times as if he's on security patrol :cheeky: :lol: guess his EJ20 TC was done n tuned totally wrong for him.

The philosophy is simple. WRX is a toy. Excellent for fun and speed and aggressive track trashing. It is a lousy family transport car, lousy for bringing your mother to the nice restaurant on Mother's Day, lousy for sending your child to school before going to work and absolutely sucks in a massive PIE traffic jam. Of course, it sux more when you have to drive from point A to point B to search for the best nasi lemak for me. Particularly ME!!! The fish, the egg the rice and the chicken wing! And if the owner is particular about FC, he should never consider the WRX. And if the owner is particular about running costs, he should also never consider the WRX. Regardless it's new or used. Just like what WRX stands for: What Rocks Xtreme.

 

interesting to know...have you driven a WRX before making such comments?....haha

Ever thought of getting the Golf TSI 160PS? It's not as powerful as the WRX for sure, but it's an excellent all rounder. With the DSG7 speeds, the car becomes very comfortable to drive in without the CVT fun-kill sh!t. Good for family and good for occasional trashing. It's not bad for track too. The timing achieved in PG can match a WRX. The insurance can easily be 50% of the classic plan without NCD before 30 years old. Not mentioning the lower road tax.

 

The timing can match a WRX? hahaa....the WRX driver must be a damn lousy driver hahaa...

The WRX weak link is its gearbox. In a sprint, a stock WRX will not stand a chance with the stock DSG7 Golf which shift much quicker than the WRX manual gearbox.

WRX is already very very very cheap at $50 - $60k

back in those days when i was younger like you guys

$60k can only buy you a 5 yr old standard Jap.

 

 

however, dont think of owning car just as simply as buying.

 

there are a lot more leakages like, petrol, insurance, taxes, ERP, parking, maintenance.

 

your money will drip away easily....

 

I know so many young people in big debt and cannot get out and get ahead in life becos they fell into the car buying trap.

 

make sure you do your sums and dont assume that everything will be fine.

buying is always easy... maintaining it is not...

 

i see alot of pple buying these Supercars,in the end...kaput

 

once drove such car a Mitshubishi Evo 5 to be exact

$20 petrol filled(near empty) frm Ayer Rajah - Orchard.

playing w the turbo....back to Ayer Rajah... finish liao......

 

now am on a 320i much much better...:lol:

is that so? haha.....once again it prove that the wrx driver is lousy....haha

probably do not know how to drive a 4wd and a manual car...(anyhow launching a 4wd requires some skill)

 

anyhow..both are good cars....depending on individual liking...comparing them is like comparing "chicken with duck" i am giving a neutral opinion on the cars...

 

I have driven both cars...I know what each car can do....:)
