I'll be moving to singpore in mid-JUL for 18 months and was looking to buy a motorcycle. I ride an '04 Kawasaki Ninja 250EX in the U.S. and want to find something similar. Do any of the Singapore riders have a suggestion for a class 2B (I'm probably not going to bother to upgrade) sports bike that has some zip and is fun to ride?

Any suggestions for reputable new/used dealers in Singapore?

Thanks!

i suggest u to start browsing thru the garage sales thread.. not only u can try ur luck to see if u can get a good deal thru private owner, u can also get to noe wat is the market price for the bike u r looking for...

u can then use it as a gauge if u were to buy frm dealers to prevent urself from being a "carrot head"....

Honda CBR150 its neat... :) for a 2nd hand model cost approximately 3K or less? (*maybe some fellow CBR riders could clear this doubt) Exclude Insurance... and other misc fees.

bike is a machine without soul, rider would inject new life and character to this machine

Take in all the papers you have, and see if they give you at least a 2A license, it's possible they will, might be worth a shot. Read here.

Then you can buy the new EX-250J, if you want. :) The 2 strokers (Aprilia and Cagiva) ride even with the Kwacker, but they're also more expesive, i believe by about S$4-5k. Probably those two are the better options if you don't get 2A.
