blah blah...

scenario:

In tight traffic, i take a spark, you take a phantom.

one car swerve out, my spark is so tiny & light that i can swerve away. chances are 50% safe 50% hit by another vehicle.

one car swerve out, your phantom is heavy & bigger in physical size, you'd have a harder time swerving & your chance of hitting by another vehicle is high cause you're bigger.

In this case, spark wins.

blah blah...

Either way, put yourself in that situation is in itself, an epic fail.

precisely thats why I put it the car swerve out.

who knows what drivers are up to.

or maybe i should rephrase it all, in case of emergency to avoid a collision due to other road user's fault.

What if it's issues not concerning the engine?

@devil. Youselling your bike? Hahaa. Um what set personal best? I read that

Overhaul doesn't mean save. Cause quality check not there? Like

Phone once sent for repair not as good already.

Overhaul means safe?

If once buy overhaul means more money spent.

I budgetted 1.5k for 2 3 years Coe bike. After

Buying bike still got money overhaul meh. And if

Overhauled still need set aside money I pok la ._. student here leh

nope, my phantom was sold off last year. (:

Zomg bike got problem again.

Was traveling 100 to 110 along aye and bike dies on lane 1. Quickly filter to road sh and bike couldnt get into neutral, nor into gear 1. So I off engine, off lights n push the bike for 1m. Turn on engine and found my neutral gear and then start bike fail again, so Re-start + throttle and the bike started, then die off. Start+throttle again and maintain throttle until it stabilizes..now engine idling has a "kiak kiak" sound...:(

Luckily I could reach home tho.

Mine's ta200...so does anyone have any idea..?

Yeah. quite easy to fish tail. Lols. Coz when raining the brakes u press like no effect. so you squeeze harder den the wheels lock. U panic never release den will skid lor lols.

this is one thing we bikers need to learn...embrace the rain and not shunned it away...that way u'll gain more exp, as i like telling ppl, rain juz ride with raincoat y wait?hahahaha...

anyway, practice this in the rain, every 2mins or so, tap the brake for it to heat up to clear the water, as water gets onto our brake disc n pads, efficiency drops a great deal, its the same with cars when they get into flooded roads, they have to step lightly on the brakes to heat it up, so they can regain back their braking efficiency, also by doing this u'll slowly get used to being able to judge how far off ur braking efficiency in wet weather, and it'll cause u to be drum into your brain not to do anything stupid...cuz this is wat i learnt thru the hrad way when i was still a p-plater...

last but not least, braking a bike will upset ur weight distribution of the bike, hence u gotta really get used to the weight shifting forward and use more front brake then rear brake...

okayyyy ahha hamster still havent answer me :(

Also according to this link

http://www.singaporebikes.com/forums/showthread.php/209080-Used-Class-2B-Motorcycles-For-Sale

2004 phantom is priced at 1.7k machine price . what does machine pricemean? does machine price include coe?

cause some bikes got state the coe for e.g the yamaha rxz is coe 2018?

and phantom no coe stated?

ALSO do you think there is a difference in safety level between kup and phantom ?

Because if i driving a car i see kup i not as scared to hit him as i am to hit a phantom

you get what i mean?

Is a kup more save or is a phantom more save?

to me there is no safety diff between any bikes, all bikes are dangerous, its the skill of understanding ur bike and the road condition that can negate ur risk of getting into a accident...

Insurance i already got expectations

16 yr old phantom will suddenly break down anot -.- better to buy younger bike or older bike ?

and your dp is phantom? if it is then it's damn sexy . . wargoat's phantom also sexy

all bikes will have a chance of breaking down be it a new bike or old bike, newer bikes chance of breaking down is minimal, and old bikes risk of breaking down can also be minimal, provided u take good care of maintaining it, thats what maintaining a bike is all about, u dont want them to crap at u in the middle of the road, learn the bike, do preventive maintainence, and log book entry and it'll help u in the long run, trust me...

wow. okay nice . but will the age of the bike affect safety?

like for e.g a 10 year old phantom and a brand new kup . .

later 10 year old suddenly break down in the middle of expressway? or both have equal chance

breaking down?

as mentioned above...

oh yea 3.2k inclusive of 10 years coe =) . Phantom gives your gf's parents a very safe feeling. haha bike breakdown or not see luck one leh. but i have no regrets getting a ta 150.. POWER ROX. although need keep visiting petrol station every 4 days. haha but my wheel bearing spoil twice le. thats the only thing i've changed so far. HAHA . gd thing about phantom is riding on expreessway can much faster den kup. although they pick up faster but once hit expressway they dragging at 70km/h le. Lols u can easily ride 90 without feeling much of the engine drag. haha. Normally honda bikes should be quite reliable one. can last very long

its because of the weight we'll tend to feel safer, which i am susceptible too...but again, knowledge of own bike will bring u alot more miles into ur riding career...

Go as far as you can see; when you get there, you'll be able to see farther.

im still able to start the bike tho..?

You said hard to engage neutral and first gear right? You might spoil something else if you keep on riding. That time your repair bill might be 3 times higher. Better just pay $25 and you can sit in the truck also.

The only place that rent motorcycles in Sg is Ban Hock Hin. The rider must be 21 and above. Only $30 per day for 2b bike so looks like you don't qualify. Maybe have to pay more insurance if you p-plate but I'm not sure about that.

sad to say only one rental is ban hock hin, u cant ride a msia bike as a singaporean, u are liable to a fine and revocation of license if caught, and prepare for minimum 3years no license for no insurance coverage...

wat are u thinking?

juz bear and wait it out, dont do anything stupid ah...not worth the trouble...there is an alternative also, but it doesnt come cheap and its freaking legal ahahahaha

first time i see a new riding having sucha hard time picking a bike. lol..

my honest opinion, phantom would be a very good 2b / first bike, in most aspect. handling, speed, cornering, mods, maintain, etc etc. more pros thn cons.
