Recommendation for a low fuel consumption bike?

Hello to all forumers,

 

I'm new to bike world. Will be getting a 2B license soon due to unconvenient work place...

 

Anyway, would like to hear any recommendation from bros and sis here.

** I'm roughly 90KG, 1.8M **

ta200 WHICH gives me like 36km per lites of petrol.

maybe a 4stroke one will do. =)

 

I heard phamtom TA200 is quite good.

- big bike

- low fuel consumption

- electrical start

- relatively quite cheap too.

ya, totally agree with the "SUPER" low fuel consumption...

 

but 1 bad thing is, cos i'm big size =(

 

so maybe i'll put TA200 phamtom as my first choice now. but the bad thing with TA200 is cos it's quite unstable...

May i ask u something.. actually i've not got my 2B yet. next week then start my 1st practical.

 

Would u recommend me any shop at east side which sells cheap helmet and glove...

 

my friends all say go "ah boy" motor shop. cos i'm staying at tampines, i think it's quite far bah. any other accessories shop near tampines?

Go changi ah. Just follow the MRT line down to kembangan/eunos. Got alot of shop.

i juz got my helmet from helmetboys...

 

quite a worth it helmet to buy, outlook already very nice liao, and the internal cushion very comfortable. =)

 

i heard wave is super low fuel consumption... but i think resale wise not that good. cos most motor shop dun sell 2nd hand wave .. =) more to phamtom...

 

i think phamtom got a very good resale price next time..

Suzuki Hayate, but you're quite tall for kups. But it's auto, since you just want a ka tart, save u the multi tasking.

bajaj pulsar ba, the fuel consumption is comparable to cubs, some more the fuel tank so big, u go elsewhere pump petrol can 1 time pump 18litres! :faint:

 

some more the tires fatter, as compared to cubs.

 

Save ur tot for TA200 until u pass and tried it - coz u shd be learning on street bikes, which pulsar is, too. if u switch to TA200 sure will feel very different wan - but can get used to it, definitely, just a matter of time. So point being pulsar shd be easier for u to get used to.

 

Also, bike models that are available in nearby country is very "hot" wan, u go in oni dio aim le. Pulsar, i think, not available there yet, so u ride in less chance of ppl aiming u. :p

PS: If im 1.8m i'll prob get pulsar, but im not and im juz darn in love with x1r! :p

Don't get a YBR. Its so SLOW and UNDERPOWERED. And you will complain on when will you go to the petrol station to pump petrol. You will also complain why your bike has so little problems and when can you go bike shop to repair. You bike will have so little problems that you will start to think that the slightest problem is a huge problem. You don't want that do you? :(

Im riding a phantom. 1.8m 75kg. I feel that bike is too small for me and my only option is a bigger class or just make do. If you want my bike, pm me for more details.

OT a bit.

 

Stock Wave suspension strong enough?

 

Cause i am about the same weight at the thread starter and i pillion my gf quite often..

 

I saw wave suspension like not cant take constant for heavy load like me + pillion..

 

Currently riding phantom, as least the suspension is a little bit bigger but i dont know will last a not. :/

i happened to read a translated TA200 manual a few years back.. it stated the weight limit is 180kg.. not sure of recent years model..

By the way.. why no one considered Varadero 125? consumption think not so bad and suitable for tall people..
