Petition to Sentosa to allow motorbikes in

...For bikes, it's 65/half day against $1 for 1st 3 hours at vivo. time to make a new MSCP at seah imm!...

 

After you spend multi million $$$ building car park, how do you recover your investment as quickly as possible?

 

1) bike park whole day for $0.65

2) $1 per hour for car

3) Free parking for bikers, and for bikers only.

 

after they build all those theme parks, i'm sure there will be some riders working there...i'm sure there will be some riders working there ...

 

Are there so many pp will be working in theme parks that having a bikers friendly MSCP make investment sense?

 

...i doubt seah imm carpark will be able to handle all those extra bikes!

 

Who cares? URA or Vivo City or...

i'm not very the old lah... but old enuff to see how sentosa has turned from an idyllic island getaway to the money-milking machine dat it is today. last time only can take ferry or cable car go in, low frequency n small passenger capacity, go to this bush area can hanky panky w gf cz not many pple ard, hee.... now car, buses n trains send hordes of pple into the island every hour. i c my fren's pre-wedding photshoot pictures at sentosa, pose at the beach but got alot of bangla standing in the background, ogling at the bride. tink my fren was smiling in the pic but feeling sian half.

 

erm... wats dis thread abt arh?... oh yah. dun let bikers go in sentosa okie? coz sure got black sheep de. go in start a race track there. or worse still, a group with f*rking loud pipes who like to rev n rev to attract attention along orchard road suddenly got a new place to go to. aiyo. dun wan lah. prease prease??

Parking your bike between 1600 and 0400 hrs is actually MORE EXPENSIVE than parking a car during those hours if you park more than 3 hours.

 

Car pays a max of S$3.00 per entry

Bike pays $1 for first 3 hrs and $1 per hr or part thereof.

 

Say a car and bike enters the carpark at 4pm and leaves at 2am.

 

Car pays $3.00 for the parking

Bike pays $9.00 for the same duration.

This is not surprising, if you consider entering HDB cashcard gantry carpark which charged by PER MINUTE for CARS ONLY.

 

Say a bike and a car both enter the car park at 3 pm and both leave at 3.30 pm.

 

Car pays only 50c, but bike pays 65c.

aiyoh! i think you misinterpret my words. what i'm trying to say is that it's about time to upgrade the seah imm carpark. you think those working at sentosa are all rich fellows eh? most either take public or ride bikes. it's not about investment la. it's about your workers parking their bike. who do you think will clean and maintain the places in Sentosa? it's Malaysian full timers mixed with singaporean students like some of my friends(biker also) working there right now. workers working at sentosa right now is having problem to park their bike. how about in future? when the problem comes, then they will try to frantically solve the problem.

 

even if sentosa won't let bikes in, it doesn't really matter. but at least upgrade that seah imm carpark instead. if u have been to seah imm carpark before, you'll know how packed it is. the only carpark where i can see 5 bikes parking in 2 lots.

 

and since when building public carpark is about earning money? Vivocity charge expensively to bikers is none of my problem. till the day seah imm carpark is upgraded or an alternative is found, i won't be going there unless i have something damn important. even so, i might consider going public instead.

"Hi i'm curious why motorbikes are not allowed entry into the Sentosa Island. We take up less space than cars and i'm sure it won't be a problem allocating bike lots on the island. I don't mind paying to ride in but even that is not allowed. It don't make sense and i hope you can give me a valid reason? I'm sure us bikers will be more willing to visit Sentosa more often if we are allowed to ride in and park there. Will consider gathering a petition from fellow bikers to make you change your rules on motorbikes. Do get back to me thanks."

yes you can. u'll have a special pass. i know of one guy who's riding a vespa staying there.

That troublesome is much less evil, than many wanna treat Sentosa as racetrack, and many more, without licence & bike insurance, see sentosa road as playground.

 

Anyway, most staff have bus shuttle service. So what is the problem? Unless the guy who works there don't he is working in Sentosa.
