Hi guys

I was just wondering what the deal was with your $450 quote for an Rjays stealth suit? I live in australia and its $799 aussie dollars and Rjays is an aussie company. I want one but I'm not paying that much!

Please explain!.....!!!

1 Singapore dollar = 0.79 Australian dollars

799 AUD = 1000+ SGD

We have one of Asia's most dynamic bikeshop stores that sell everything that you could ever imagine. And moreover, these stores operate with low operating cost as well. Popularity is gained via word-of-mouth here for our small tropical country; that's how most of us get to know all the shops and to ride there in droves just to get the gear that we want.

I'd presume that (no offence here dude) stores in Australia operate like departmental stores: Grandeur and all, hence the price there maybe? Again, that's speculation.

I was quoted $600 for that suit btw, if you were to ask me. That was a few months ago. ;)

Redbeacon, thanks. No offence here - I am well aware that we as Australian bikers, are being taken for a 'ride' so to speak when it comes to prices. Just yestaeday I tried on an Alpinestars GPU suit $1790 in a local store - $499 form the USA online.

I just don't know how to deal with Rjays as they are already an aussie company and have no online discounts (did u get the quote directly from Rjays website or through your importer?) - they are an aussie company and when I spoke to them last they said by the time the suit is sent to the dealer there is very little margin to play with in regards to bargaining. This could be rubbish or course, but it was what they told me.

Thanks for your reply guys!

I guess you've got that figured out. :thumb: It can be a lot cheaper to parallel import. Then again, if you want to import, why import Rjays? There are many better offerings out there.

I was looking to buy a shoei replica helmet here and it cost 1200+ aussie dollars, a friend of mine bought me the exact helmet while he was on a business trip in Singapore for 600+ Singapore dollars. And dont make me talk about the costs of servicing the bike. :giddy:

Heya! Do you have suits with just red/white or red/black designs. Simple colours and not flashy?

Preferably with less stickers on them too.
