Just visit blood bank 2 days ago, now got TV to watch.

I visit last week but can't donation cos my iron is low so the blood not gd .. .

I hope the 'Red Cross' can come up with a better gift next year leh.

 

The planner is like so heavy and not very useful. I prefer them giving out the polo tees.

 

I wonder does platlettes donation counts?

errr...The donation drive is organised by various parties, meaning their freebies are not be the same. Even though the same donation at the same CC, it would be different from the previous time u went

No lah, I am refering to the donations at the blood bank lah.

 

For fews years liao, they give out planners every year. I prefer that year where they give out polo t-shirts.

 

And those rubber press balls is kinda all falling apart liao, I dunno they are biodegrable. (I've collected quite a lot of them last 10+ years ago.)

 

The CC ones, I've never been to. What does CC gives in terms of gifts?

That's depends. The last one I get 1 x 1litre of chocolate milk + 1 bottle of milk

But I ever went to one CC which did not give any.

I am now able to donate apheresis.

 

Will be making a trip for it on Sat afternoon.

The lady tied that pink colour bandage so tight! I couldnt take it off.

 

I finally sat down at Mcdonalds after a few hours and ask a girl next to me whether she has scissors.

 

She finally help to pry that bandage off me. Thank goodness.

Maybe next time, you plan three days in advance, take iron tablets first.

I've just received an SMS from the Red Cross requesting O blood donors to donate their blood at HSA blood bank. Needed urgently...

Go to Blood Bank, inform them its your first time. Let them have your NRIC to create a profile in their system. Fill in the forms. Drink more water.

 

Test your blood and iron levels. Get into where they have beds, lay down and let them help you start donating.

 

Thats done. Once you are stable to walk, collect the chit and go to the cafe and get yourself a drink, red bean soup and a bun/nasi lemak.

 

Go home

go for apheresis donation, they take your Plasma/Platelets,

it's a 1 to 2 hours donation depending on individual,

i'm a regular apheresis donor, just did my 56th donation last month

Just go lah. You wait wait wait for people to go together hor......the side that need blood already wait long long.

 

Besides, they dont let you share beds so no point waiting for people lah.
