does any body encounter tis prob bfore?? mine bike got problem starting... ned to pull throllter abit den can start.. den muz hold on for awhile.. some times let go onli its die off.. wen riding den stop at traffic light it oso die off.. is it wrong wit e setting?? anything ned to b change in e carb?? den e temp oso siao siao 1.. veri fast hot... dunnoe wher e coolant leak to lei... juz lost like tat... any1 can help??

 

i think mine is almost the same as well... at least the bike shop willing to fix it for me.. don't know what happen as well..

 

the engine dies off might be due to low rpm. might have to adjust the rpm slightly higher and see if improve.. if dunno where then maybe u can go Planet Motor to give your wife a full body check up. or if you wan can go to my bike shop too.. lol..

 

at least your temp meter still tell u it is hot.. mine doesn't even move stationary at cool.. haha and it is so hot that i can even cook an egg!! got smoke too from my engine.. u might really have to let her do a check up liao.. must be leakage somewhere

hmm..could be because ur idling too low..try setting ur idling higher?

 

i was told that planet motor at ubi rd 3 know the bikes well as many G4 rider go there fix their problem there...

 

yeah..ah chong is good with G4...so probably u can go down there to have a look if let say ur bike's condition doesn't improve

hmm..i think is the carb o-ring spoil already..i think guan hoe should be one of the cheapest place to replace it..at the same time can wash ur carb there...if i am not wrong for the whole set of o rings for our carb..guan hoe charge a few $$ only...other bike shops i think quite ex...like one piece can cost $10 kind...anyway according to guan hoe boss..he was saying by right everytime u wash carb...muz replace all the o-rings..lol..but i don't think alot of us do that la...anyway...i've never tried washing carb at guan hoe before..so if u happen to go there and wash ur carb + replace o-ring..can give a review of it?...coz i think i'm going to wash mine soon..thanks =)

i also rather trust gh boss. think will have warranty somemore:angel: but they dont service bike on sat. now, my work i cant take leave till aug or sept!! maybe i will try gh, but i just service carb less than 1/2 year.

 

hmm..u want to try LAB...=X there quite cheap...haha...DID chain + front & rear sprocket cost around $150..thunder chain(highly recommended by ah boy) with sprockets also $150...regina chain + sprocket i think is $140...

ok, maybe will try ah boy's thunder chain!! haha. now, budget tight...

 

yesterday told me that there is a leakage near the engine or carb.. he not sure is oil leakage or coolant as he need to strip my wife bare to check.. now still no news so don't know full detail yet.

 

does anyone recommend to install bike alarm for G4? if so any recommendation? cheap and good i hope.

mine got alarm. but its spoil for 2nd time. 1st time, open up see inside, 1 wire drop, soldered bk now spoil again. dont ask me what brand, forgot liao. buy frm cmo, nick-tommy.

haha..that is y i go different bike shops to do different stuffs..that time i went guan hoe to change coolant also..the coolant they use not very good..and they top up with water thats y i don't like..i did my coolant at unique motor..using engine ice..they top up with engine ice also..no water included...as for planet...they are good at fixing gsxr400 common problem...if got problem that u also don't know whats going on..go there...or if u need 2nd hand parts for gsxr400..go there also

guan hoe can change those parts that require to dismantle alot of stuffs..coz their workmanship cheap and they know the best way to dismantle...things like changing fork oil seal and dust cover...coz they give warranty for it also..if u don't like their fork oil..u can buy ur own...and also change stuffs like spark cap...coz its cheaper over there + again got warranty..other bike shop might remove the whole fuel tank to change that...if ur engine oil leak...u are worried that it might cost alot..can go guan hoe to try ur luck also..coz the problem might not be as big as u think while other bike shops will most prob charge u damn high for workmanship juz to change the gasket..hmm...thats all i can think of now...if ur bike got problem then u can post here then maybe i can give u my recommendation..but of coz its up to ur own discretion =)
