got a question... the fuel valve should be turn to pri right... when fuel finish then turn to reserve right???

 

cos i did on tues but even on pri, my fuel run dry b4 i switch to reserve... lucky i had someone with me to bring me to petrol kiosk to buy...

 

today i go check... even in primary my fuel left very little... i go pump... without turning on my reserve i had to top up another 14+ litres...

 

why so har???

There was someone selling a first hand rear sus for 250 last time. so im thinking around there.

 

Hel brake lines now offering 50% off for their brake lines and im damn tempted to go change mine once i get my bike.

Bro....u can look at the SBF classifieds...a few ppl selling it....less then $2K....or u can do a search at tis forum page....Go to garage sales.....there's additional list of sellers there...too...Or u can try to contact ARcfire....just like ABGnerd says....coz arcfire is still looking for buyers...

And u guys if u have the extra dough, do change your suspension and check your linkage.

 

The linkage would rarely give way, but it happens.. to yours truly.

 

And i burnt $600 in total to change linkage ($270 new) and a brand new suspension (suspension i got a good deal, else, its 700+)

 

I was lucky I went over a hump when it broke, imagine you're doing 90 on 312C and it breaks. All hell shall break lose!

 

Can't believe it at first, cos when I was on my scrambler with my weight and giving that bike hell offroad, i never had any linkage or suspension maxed-out.

 

And I was the dude who bought the suspension from boyhiker. Those who missed that boat, you guys really missed a good deal cos it was really brand new (I heard too many guys asking him lotsa redundant question and one guy asking him to go down to his mechanic shop to see if it can fit a GSXR4, when it's clearly a suspension for GSXR4 )

 

Now, with a new suspension set, the bike feels incredible. No, there's no power difference if that's what you're looking for.

 

The stability, the way the bike keeps itself on the ground, the way the dashpot absorbs all the shock without 'disturbing' u, enables you to purely concentrate on your road and enjoy the ride, without bouncing up and down endlessly.

Linkage is the piece of bracket that joins ur suspension to the body. At the lower half that is.

Naz: how bad was the condition of ur old suspension which make u wan to change a new wan cos the new wan is not cheap sia..u mus have some really deep pocket to do so..or the condition is real bad.. if mine suspension is in very bad condition..than i can slowly save the money..

The old suspension was awaiting death sentence actually.

 

When the linkage broke, it jammed down the dashpot and maxed out all the air in it. Hence there was only spring rebound for suspension = NO GOOD and could be FATAL.

 

Basically, u can feel it if ur suspension is about to give way.

 

A good suspension should NOT be pushing u up immediately. It should be absorbing the shock and push u back without u knowing it. Macam fast down, slow and effective up motion.

 

If you sit on the bike and whack the suspension down with ur weight and u feel immediate and multiple rebound, ur suspension is shot. Or, if u could feel multi rebound, albeit soft, either stiffen it up first, send it to check and at the same time, save your dough.

 

Go over humps slowly. pls.

Dude.... you are supposed to turn to ON when you are riding. On is pointing downwards. PRI just lets fuel flow non stop thats y you neva kena reserve.
