Hmm....legel pipes for G4.....this is the 1st time i heard of it....If there is as meridien mentioned and once sent for inspection and it has been approved...tat is an even better news.....

 

Retuning is needed to get the proper air & petrol flow....However some mechanics says its not necessary unless u're changing to a full system...hmmm...very argumentative...

Although technically, i would be inclined to say that since a change in exhaust changes the gas output and hence your back pressure etc, it should be a need to retune the carbs to get the most out of the new exhaust. Also, since its not an efi bike, there is not enough sensors to regulate its own fuel injectors hence you would have to change the settings manually, thus the need for retuning. Anybody has a different opinion?

i was advised not to choke the bike when starting my bike so i resort to pressing my ignition longer , would choking affect anything ?

hmm so as in when i change my exhaust to e orginal frm e tong..mus i go retune e carb??

 

Yup tats for sure. Its like what Archfire mention earlier. Stock & Yoshi for example both have a different level for the output. Tats y ppl Mod their Pipe, to increase the Output Level. So systematically by increasing the Output, the Input also muz be able to meet the Specific level in order 2 obtain Max Performance feel.

 

In my opinion however if U didn't go for the Full System, y some Mechanics say it is not tat necessary 2 reTune Carb iz bcoz the difference is U cant really feel much diff if currently u're oredi maintaining a Good Idiling.

Hi. Literally new rider riding gsx 400rr (P model) for about 2 - 3months rough.

Basically wanna get some opinions & advice from some senior & experienced gsx riders over here.

 

As of recent, I have some probz with my bike.

 

1) Bike seems to be losing power on the road after I moved for some while. And if I were to close throttle. Bike would die off suddenly. Able to start after tat, but seems tat rpm doesnt go up despite me opening up the throttle even to the extent of full throttle.

Have to wait for some time, den bike is able to move. Anyone having this probz before.

 

Suspected is carburetor, but have serviced it all. And seems not to be the issue. Fuel hose is lined up properly. Leaving the fuel **** that may be the possibility of it being the cause as it dropped off before, and i gt a new one & diy it nt taking into account wat screw i used. Haha.

 

2) Anyone has wrong temperature readings before on their temp gauge? Changed the thermostat before? Needs some advice on this.

 

Thanks lots2 in advance for all those who are able to help me on this. Kinda stressed with all these small little probz popping up. Haha.

 

P/S: Anyone has done epoxy on any part of their bike before??

hey everyone...bought a g4 rr quite sometime ago..anyone has spare fuel tank.. mine kinda rusty... thanks

 

Bro i've got a spare tank...however it has no fuel cover...plus it has no fuel lever....and its yellow in color...u can call me up to view...97957236....am staying in the east...thanks...

2nd....Riding ard town and marina....

Questions : I've seen a few GSX-R modded with Class 2 bikes rear cowlings. Is it moulded or straight off a Class 2 bike ?

My ignition key broke and i've yet to make a spare one...Anyone here has a spare ignition?

 

I was adviced by Hmmm...to take out the ignition and bring it to the locksmith next to LAB....he will be able to do something abt it....

 

Anybody else has any other advice....???....thanks...
