hey all, problem again, haha. i changed my water pump and radiator hoses recently.

but lately, i notice a sweet smell when i'm riding (seems like coolant) and when i checked my bike just now, i noticed a gooey substance near my clutch housing, water pump cover and hoses, and dripping down my sidestand

i didn't touch it, but it looked quite like engine oil (not really sure).

could it be that my coolant has mixed with my engine oil?

my bike is working fine, but i dont want to risk riding around with something like that going on.

any idea how to rectify this problem, and how much it will cost?

Checked with Planet's Boss, he top up the 1/2 Litre left over from my last oil chain.

Problem solved.

Explaination was old bike sometimes will "eat up" oil slowly, so need to top up to the high mark.

The Brake sound is because the pads are hard.

No issue, can still use. :)

Poured in only 2300 ml according to the instructions at the side of the engine... :sian:

The Ermmmm sound, have to hear, if the sound like mine, like bicycle brakes, possible the pads are hard.

If the sound like Eeeee like metal grinding metal, then maybe the pads gone, and the brake disc is being scratched during braking.

Not too sure why your bike has a "eeeee" sound when you brake but you can get a replacement rear seat lock at Guan Hoe Paya Lebar.

Just tested my GSXR 400RR on NSHW.

Acceleration is excellent! :D

Top speed was around 190km/hr

Went up until slightly above 190km/hr.

Might have gotten up till 200km/hr if there was a down slope and a strong back wind!

Now I know why the Suzuki engineers make such an awkward ridding position ~ It's meant for speed, pure, raw speed.

At 140km/hr and above, the wind resistance is enough to support the body and the head, so it's actually comfortable to ride at that speed, in that racing position.

Very different from when travelling at 60-70km/hr on SG roads.

Heck, I even tried super low racing positions, resting my elbows on my knees, chest touching the tank.

And again there was no strain on the neck. The head was held up by the air, and my Full face helmet was pressing again my chin like as though an invisible hand was pushing it.

Wow! What a rush!

At 160km/hr I tried to rise up my body to normal riding position to see what it was like. The wind was pushing back so hard, I had to literally hold on to the handle bars to prevent being swept off to become a human kite.

Wooo...

Only sucky thing that happened was that I ran out of fuel on the Malaysian highway.

The Dam Reserve knob doesn't do squat!

And I had to push the bike to the next petrol station around 15 km away... :sian:

Man! I would have to changed my nick to "Yatz the 2nd" if not for a Malaysian Indian Uncle on a RXZ who offered to push me to the petrol station.

Dam! I was Lucky!
