hi guys....have a problem, my bike wun start up, i press the push start button, a few clicking noise and the volt meter shows 0.0 and lights everything off. lights come back on when i release the push start button.

 

any ideas or help guys?

 

hmm..could be battery and rectifier...or it could simply be ur fuse but i think the chances quite low

rectifier was change by previous owner, about half a year old only...and if can still run (after pushing the bike then releasing clutch on gear 2) could also be battery ah....hmmm sorry im noob in this area

I am coming from car experience. When the battery is weak, you can still turn on the headlights no problem. But when u try to crank up the starter, it just makes a clicking noise - cos it doesn't have enough amps to turn over the starter.

 

Why not just try using some jumper cables to connect to a friend's bike battery and then try starting?

hmm..sounds like a battery flat problem...if u have a voltmeter at home...u can try connecting it to ur bike's battery...if the battery is around 10v or lesser when ur bike is not running...shows that ur battery is getting weak...and when u get ur bike started already...try revving ur bike to around 3k-4k rpm and check the voltage...it should be around 14v without ur headlights on and 12v with ur headlights on...if u don't see ur voltage increasing after u rev ur bike..shows that ur charging coil is down(which is quite unlikely for that to happen coz a charging coil lifespan is pretty long)..at the same time if u rev ur bike to 3k-4k rpm and ur voltage goes up to 15v++ 16v...it could mean that ur rectifier is really gone...that is how i would go about analysing this problem...maybe u can see what other G4 riders have got to say

nice paintwork...original paintwork or resprayed before?..anyway who did u get ur bike from? don't tell me its rodney...and i'm also looking for a yoshi pipe...not easy to find a good condition one..unless u're really damn rich..then go get a class 2a yoshi pipe then go down to seng kwang to modify it to fit our bike..haha

hey guys, anyone knows how much planet offers to do fork seal, steering cone and suspension? My handle bar steers left and right when I let go one of my hand. I'm not sure whether its steering cone but i know my fork seal is leaking.

Try charging your battery. Sounds like it's flat.

I got a set of GSXR400 full fairing set (except for head fairing) including, rider seat, passenger seat, tail light, front indicators and fuel tank for sale.

 

The items are sprayed matt black and are in very good condition. No dents or cracks. Paintwork is presentable but definitely not perfect. Great for spraying whatever colour you want.

 

Asking $280 neg for whole set.
