well 420 for the high quality paint la, i think the other quote was 250. there are definitely less expensive options. seems a lot of bikeshops send there for paintjob too.

How much does a brand new G4 fork cost?

He is asking for $800 to do up the engine. Will you be there to see the engine makeover? If not, are you confident that he will do the makeover?

 

Just some pointers. I bought mine for $2500.

 

well i know the mechanic for nearly a year as i regularly service my phanthom with him and so far he has done good service....and so i kinda believe him bro.....

 

the mechanic is promising me to change the pistons and rings and timing chain and do the general service for 800$...is it a reasonable price and is it possible to do all these for 800$ ???

Bike plate is FM and coe is till 2013 with good tires and clutch and good gear box....any advice and suggestions....??

now he reduced the bike price from 2800$ to 2500$(1700$for bike+800$for engine overhaul)

try planet for a pair of 2nd hand original mirrors. if not, ah boy has some chiong ones in the original shape.

thinking to get a G4 but one of the left fork the chrome is blemished, changing the seal is not long term solution, worried overtime it might leaked.

u are talking bout the lower half only or the whole fork...whole fork if i didn't remember wrongly..can go up to 1k+...if u're talking bout the moving side...then its bout $700 for both sides...that is if my memory never fail me..but i think there's no need to change...if u are not sure if ur fork can still be used..can go down to guan hoe

hmm...$800 for an overhaul of engine...sounds rather cheap...but if u really wanna overhaul..again...i would recommend guan hoe since they're the authorised service centre...they will definitely offer u a warranty if they overhaul the engine for u..so i think should be more reliable..somemore they got all the spare parts over there..=)

u can get ur g4 mirror at L.A.B...i got mine over there...$30 for a pair and it looks exactly like the original one...juz that the finishing of the mirror not very good..but well..for $30..i think its ok..

yeah..i'm referring to the chrome part is the bottom part..u juz going to change that?...coz if that thing has been damaged for a long time..most likely it'll also have damaged ur main fork....so i think u gotta change whole set

I have to scrap my bike... no point repairing it, the cost is $2000+GST $140...

i'm not so sure but i've seen pple post to sell the spareparts b4 or aft they scrap the bike. if i'm not wrong, its the frame you scrap & what i know is you can just pay a tow truck or lorry help send your bike's frame to scrap. some scrapyard f.o.c, some pay ard $50. i dont know much abt it, thats all i can help. @ least you sell those good spareparts, get back some cash..
