i think many pple will recommend planet motors...u can go to suzuki authorised service centre(guan hoe) to do ur bike too..their price are reasonable and u get original suzuki parts

 

well, i sent in the bike with 2 holes in the crank case, jammed piston, broken con rod and damage caused by the flying con rod , block sleeve got hole, head damaged. camshaft also spoilt, crankshaft scratched, magneto flywheel broken and starter motor got hole.

 

supplied them second hand block, head, crankshaft, starter motor and magneto.

 

they help me patch back the hole in the crankcase, resurface the head, rebore the block, new piston and rings, 16 valve oil seals, 2 new water pipes for the head and block. gasket kit, oil seals, engine case bearings. a couple of sensors. .etc

 

haha the invoice 2 pages long lol.

 

all in all 2.2k. seems reasonable, coz i very long never fix bike in singapore liaoz. i always go malaysia and fix. but when it comes to overhaul engine i dont really trust them. i very scared the overthighten. the bolts and nuts..

what part you looking for? my bike just came back from racewerks. did a complete engine overhaul. quite happy with it.

 

im lookin for front folk.. mine folk slight leaking... front brake disc, run/stop switch... need to slowly re-build its...

wah...2.2k can get another G4...but at least now u are quite sure that ur G4 is in a good running condition...=) and i believe racewerk workmanship is good..but that is provided william did everything

front brake disc and the run/stop switch i would recommend u to get 2nd hand one from planet motors...coz front brake disc is damn ex for a new one..as for the front fork oil leaking..can go guan hoe to do..that time i went there to do and they gave me a 1 or 3 mths warranty(can't remember clearly) and it cost me like $110 only..they changed the oil seal and dust cover...before that i went racewerk to change my fork oil seal..but htey didn't do a good job..started leaking like 2 days later and they blamed it on my fork...K&T tuning is good...but personally i feel that their carb washing is not detailed enough..so if u juz want to go there for tuning..it'll cost u $40...guan hoe is located along eunos ave 3 blk 1043

1st of all, welcome you to g4 family!! still remember me?

the 1 you mentioned above may be spark plug set go in water. can try by on engine running, spray water on the sparkplug 1 by 1 to chk. mine was like that. in the rain like no pwer cos water go in. if the plug cover is spolit, electric will run out. i got mine fixed @ guanhoe. i think got 3mths warranty.

1 more thing, g4 is easlier to start when cold. if warmed up liao, when you press start, gota rev abit. g4 fuel go to carb by "air".

not a common prob. its just wear n tear... g4 sparkplug is exposed, can be seen. cbr is hidden under the tank. maybe thats why many spolit becos exposed to rain n sun easily.

wah...i not sure whether guan hoe boss got bluff u or not..but it seems like a real good deal to me..coz i went L.A.B to check the left hand switch before...it cost $100+..maybe guan hoe trying to clear stock for that thats y selling cheap...don't think too much bout the $6 switch..coz it might not be in good working condition also..haha...anyway...the problem u mentioned is because ur spark plug wet due to the rain..its quite a common issue for g4..somemore because its an old bike...the spark cap undergoes wear and tear...thats y the water managed to sip in..u can have it fix at guan hoe and be assured of all authentic parts..will cost u ard $200 to have all the spark cap changed and if u buy ur own spark plug cable..the boss will change for u too..after u change the whole set...u can be sure that ur bike will perform much better than what u have currently..its more or less the same as what ben said...so u can consider changing it or not =)

if u're lucky..u'll probably be running on 3 spark plugs..else u'll be running on 2 or less which is really bad..not only will u have super poor pickup and super unstable idling..ur top speed will be badly affected too...as for hurting ur engine..i think it will...coz its supposed to be a "4 men job"...then u are throwing it to "2-3 men" to do it...quite xiong right

btw guys after u ride will ur idling remain higher than slowly drop back

cause my idling is 1.5 than after riding than it remain at 2 ... than it become very hot ... wad the problem ar ....
