Hello all and good day/evening to you!

I am new to this forum and am proud to be a member of this community. I hope I get the chance to give back what I am able to receive from here. :) I just bought a 2009 Honda CB 400 Super Four Revo with only 7,000 kilometers on the clock based on how many people have fallen in love with this motorcycle all over the world! I currently live in Vietnam where parts for "bigger" moto bikes are quite limited. I can buy parts in Hanoi near me, however the shops are very expensive. I realize this is just how the ball bounces and I can accept that to some extent. I do have a couple questions however if I may.

Firstly, does anyone know of any good websites I can order parts from? Websites some of you have had success with? I have tried searching online, however it really has gotten frustrating has the year for my bike is generally never included in what's available. I would really like to buy basic parts online from the comfort of my own home if possible. I don't mind paying extra for international shipping. :)

Second, I would be more than grateful to know what previous years are more or less compatible with a 2008/2009. Basically all of the parts I see online have a cut off year of 1996 etc...years in the 90's. I have spend countless hours trying to figure this stuff out and get nowhere. My girlfriend I am sure is growing tired playing Bejewled as I scour the internet before going to bed. Hahaha. Thanks in advance for all of your help!

Best Regards

Brandon :)

Hello all.

I've recently decided to go get my class 2A and i would like to purchase a CB400 before next Chinese New Year.

I was wondering what will the insurance price be for a newly rider without any expierence for a Class 24 CB400?

And also what other cost i must look out for in order to prepare some spending budget on hand.

Thank You.

Hi everyone out there, i am new to this forum, and would like to check is there anyone use spec 2 seat strip and install it on spec 3 seat? Is there anyone here not using it and willing to let go?:o

depending what part you look for, you can find some common parts on aliexpress.com. If you have a Chinese connection, you can order from taobao.com which has more parts and cheaper. If you want OEM japanese parts and accessories, you can visit webike.net, which is very expensive, but quality parts

Anyone having this same issue before can advise?

Am riding spec 3, when moving off gear 1 sometimes barely moving, then need to throttle more but after 1-2 seconds it becomes normal again and there is this slight surge before i close throttle and ride normally again.

It doesnt happen all the time.

I realized that if i throttle slightly before moving off with a slighlty higher rev, there is no such issues.

I understand that all our own riding styles are different but im that kind that (when riding normally on most days) prefers to release a little clutch and roll before throttle.

Any advice guys? - thanks!!! :)

Dear All CB400 bros, I would like to seek your advice on some repair related matters for my CB400 Version S.

I just took over a 1998 Version S from my relative. He purely uses it for work and doesnt really take too much care of his bike. I have riden a Version S long long time ago but I have not been riding for a while and need your advice on some repair matters.

1. RPM is hunting whilst idling - was told by shop that washing and tuning the carburetor might solve the problem but Im not too sure. I am ok to do the washing and tuning but just not sure if hunting can be solved this way?

2. Suspension is too soft and bouncy, Shop told me that I can service it but its about 300. I was thinking might as well but a second hand showa from Carousell and install instead? By the way, can a Spec 1-3 suspension fit on a version S?

3. Handle bar is vibrating at high speed, no issues with alignment. Shop says must change steering cone. Will this solve the problem?

4. I would like to check if there is any shops in JB that does Super 4 as I go in and out quite often. I know there are not many shops that do bigger bikes in JB but i would like some bros to give me any shops that can do the interior of the bike? Some bros recommended a shop by the name of Hou Heng at Ah Gua Lane. Not sure if shop still exists?

5. Also what to check, which shop in Singapore is recommended for Super 4 repairs and carry 2nd hand parts for version S? Ah Pek recommended Planet Motor which must be good since its recommended by Ah pek but do you guys know any other shops that I can go to?

Sorry for some noob questions but your assistance is greatly appreciated. Not sure if there are any non-vtec gatherings currently...

I'm having pretty much the same issue with my spec 2. Bike will hesitate for 1-2 seconds during initial throttle and then it'll pull cleanly after on gear 1. So I'm wondering is it a carb tuning issue or clutch? Hmm..

Hi Guys,

My friend is coming to Singapore from overseas for Christmas holiday.

I would like to take him to a few days ride through west Malaysia (KL-Penang).

He's experienced rider (16+ years) and have an unlimited international license.

Can you give me an idea where i can rent a bike for him to rent for such a trip?

Do you know any rental shops in JB?

2) if u do ride the bike long or short term....you can get aftermarket shocks like bitubo is good enuff.... saw on unique website they selling for 880 with gst for a twin shock which is preload and rebound adjustable and sell off your showa for $300 plus......

on the other hand...if you do service ur shock which may cost around $300....or u may go for second hand spec 1 which may cost around the same but you do not know how heavily it has been used......both are still basic with just preload....

I had personally rode on a s4 w a bitubo set for 5 years always with side boxes and big box and surprisingly with the more than 200k km mileage i had on it ..it felt very stable and non bouncy especially in corners....supposedly shocks have to be serviced every 20k km and i didnt as its still performed great....

3) perhaps you can change to heavier handle bar ends and also change your grips to the bmw type....can get at m technic or the performance motors...

I ride at 70km/hr only...please please dont blow2 at me or overtake me dangerously....wait i change into Incredible Hulk n dont know why my little baby bike will always be ahead of u if u do that

Hi guys! Looking to get input from those who have owned a Revo or is still owning one. I'm thinking of getting a new Revo and was wondering if it's a recommended bike for the long run. Is it too costly to maintain (FC, servicing) for it's engine capacity or it is not too bad at all?

I know affordability is subjective and it depends on each individual but I'm just wondering in general is it fine. Looking forward to hearing from you guys!

I have gotten a 1998 super four and need help identifying what parts the previous owner has used. At a guess it has a cbr600 rim and they have used a cbr250rr mc19 sprocket carrier hub. The cbr250 hub doesn't fit perfect but it works ok.

I'm happy to swap the hub with a different one if anyone knows of a better option?

This is the most detailed cb400sf forum on the net so looking forwarded to leaning from you guys.
