hi folks.

i had a set of mirros on my tw200 originally and they worked great. no vibrations at all. recently i put on another set that i got from someone and it vibrates a lot. any ideas how to stop the vibrations? it really is hard to see with it vibrating so much.

thanks!

is it due to not tighten enuff? it can due to the mirror/glass itself lose, or the nut from ur mirror to ur handle bar. or the mirror u purchase from others are those type da alot of s4 rider using like a F1 type?

it can be alot of reason.

hmm.. well, i was wondering if balancers might help in this kinda situation. cause i've seen somewhere that theres a graph that shows certain balancers actually reduces the vibrations on the handle bars.

that's what i thought as well folks. so i did re-torque up the nuts and it was better. i am aware that i cannot get rid of all vibration...worth a try i thought.

i did think about balancers as well...unfortunately i do not know which ones to get for the tw200...in any case, i'll see what else i can do.

btw, the mirrors were bought from someone who used it for s4 before...so it isn't something that was designed for the tw200. so far so good though.

probably get bigger mirrors would solve the problem

Bigger mirrors? i believe stock mirrors will be best. eliminating all the vibrations.

That works for super 4. :cheeky:

bigger mirrors huh? that's what the bike had before...big mirrors...but broke. i'll have to look for a more suitable replacement...maybe no choice but to get stock tw200 mirrors.

try putting thick rubber washers between the mirrors and the mounting holes.

some mirrors come with a joint that absorbs vibrations.

i have also seen some shops selling the special joints with these abilities so you can attached to your mirrors.

some cheap after market mirrors has a snall screw behind the mirror in which u need to tighten it after u adjust ur mirror to ur likings to prevent it frm vibration. another alternative is to get motovation heavy balancer, those 33gm.

Anyone using Koso mirrors?

Recently installed it myself on my s4. Looks good, but vibrates like hell compared to the original uncle-style mirrors.
