i just purchased a black r15 today. downpayment was $1300 ($800 cash + $500 trade-in of current bike). i took loan of 4 years and i have to pay $214 x 47 months and last payment of $180. I'm 23 years old with almost 3 years riding experience. The monthly instalments add up to $10200. including downpayment almost $11500. I know interest rate is 20% (since 4 years loan). Did i pay way too much????? Damn. I already signed all the documents liao....

wah a bit too much wor.. last dec, i paid $2500 downpayment, loan 3 yrs, interest rate 6% per annum, so monthly $151 for 36 months.

24yrs old that time w 1yr plus experience. total inc interest under $8k...

its kinda ex... i total otr plus insurance is 9360.. interest rate is 15% coz i took a 3 year loan.. look below for my total breakdown

 

Outstanding loan on my spark: $1600

Value of spark(Trade in): $2300

Amount left after paying loan: $700 ($2300-1600)

OTR price of R15: $8340

Downpayment:$1540 ($700 from spark, $840 cash)

Loan taken from WYM: $6800

Interest for 3 year loan is 15%

Interest: $1020

Payment term: 35 months $218 1 month $190

 

Nett price of R15 (include road tax, IU, interest etc): $9360

hmm. i bought from H L Cycle. I think i will enquire with the sales person again on the breakdown of the price he quoted me. It didnt hit me that the total net price of the R15 is more than 11k. I only realised when i did my calculations again at home. I feel like an idiot now.

or go through your contract again? i believe the contract has all the breakdown unless they omit out some stuff.. but HL cycle should be pretty reputable..

$246 x 36 mths.

 

insurance of $570 waived.

how did your total cost get to 10k+ i was quoted 7k+ from hl without insurance to include in 2nd party insurance around 1.5k from ntuc total 9k+/-. did u get insurance 1st party? that would explain abit more if u did. anot total would should not cross the 9k margin. 2 cents.

i will only get the contract tmr. my insurance is TPFT. only $600+ at most if i can recall. on top of OTR price of around 8K plus, i was charged an additional 7% GST, cos he said the company is a small company then cant absorb the GST. then from that grand total, have to include the 20% loan interest. I still duno how the hell it reach more than 10K. my mistake also cos i was ignorant, then just sign here, sign there. i will update here again once i get a clearer breakdown of the cost.
