okay thanks! really appreciate it!

In my opinion. It's best not to have a bike during NS period. Cause you wouldnt even know where you would be posted and that also means you don't have a clue what you will be doing.

Bike need to run constantly, cannot really left out into the cold and heat just like that. Somemore R15 quite electronically dependant.

School period (what I am doing now) I am financing my own bike @ 163 a month for a 4 years loan. Weekly fuel some 20odd. Run 40km everyday atleast so I would need to go maintenance some 1month period which is some 35 like that.

All in all you would need to expect 350?

And not forgetting you need to save up on your insurance should it come one year later? Roadtax?

:):):)

I did it by teaching tuition though. So you need to do some math if you wanna continue this way. (somemore right now I need to finance 2A classes also) :):)

After all... Save your NS money for better leisure la~

Haha. I got my bike by saving up my NS pay and i full cash it. WOW! I did it man! Even my pay is lik $500 up down. Moonlighting with balls. haha. If can just save up till you got the money as close as full cash is the best. No need to worry any while riding. Just think of the petrol money and some servicing money can alr.

to the fellow forummer who's enlisting soon, i bought my Daelim two weeks before i enlist and i dare say it's not worth it.

Even though it saves the trouble for me to travel up and down from Ang Mo Kio to HTA, at the end of that 9month stay in HTA, i realise that i didn't fully utilize my bike well.

it's best to get your posting first then consider a bike. if you really cant wait, get a honda wave or a bike with less than two years coe left for the sake of transport.

anyway, to fellow R15 out there, i would like to know where you guys service your bike.

most of the mechanics i went to are not extremely competent with R15.

i would like to have one mechanic whereby i could turn to for servicing. please enlighten.

i stay in yishun, anywhere nearby is a super bonus. (Y) :D

You know that is not gonna happen right? Like come on, haven you already figured out? The market is only for S4 (2A) and a h***l lot for 2s. The real playground is when you're in class 2... 2b is just a passing phase for boys to destroy stuff and move on :)

(Say only ahr, dont shoot me down. You can believe otherwise XD)

Spend so much money big bore bike but still 2B bike for? Unless you're telling me you're gonna keep the bike for life else, just keep the bike the way it is and save your money for other bikes when you up class.
