i am thinking r15 v 2 the only way to have a pillion handle is to put a metal handle under the seat , since there are plenty of free space at the tail..

anyone put slider for r15 v 2 ? or know where to get it ? know it dont suit well but protection is better than cure too

Consider the integrity of the machine. How are you going to attached a metal frame under the pillion seat?

Wield? Besides, as compared to V1, the handle is bolted directly down into the chassis and hence it will be more stable and proportional.

V2 is made that way for a reason.. You wouldn't see R6 have a handle for pillion right? Much least to say aprilia RSv4, CBR1Krr, ZX1K, R1 and so on. It really defeat the purpose of a sportsbike to have handle.

Not asking you not to totally do it but consider this

1) should you wield, will it affect your chassis/ value to the bike?

2) Vibrations? It chips off your chassis bit by bit you know?

I can't say much as I only experiment it a little on v2.

Slider issue I can help you. There are a couple of place where your can place protection.

1) Handle bar-end

2) Mid chassis, a little above your 2 layered fairing

3) Bolt attached to the rear frame near exhaust

4) bobbins

Of all, only the one that is at your handle bar-end works.

option 2 requires you to drill into the chassis, else install a protruding frame to mount the slider which in my opinion, when you fall onto that side of the bike, it will cause extra damage to your bike. (cause the custom rod is relatively thin and protruding out). Besides, if you fix the slider into the bolt section, it will only cause your bike to tip over like a see-saw causing damage more to your upper horizontal half of the bike.

Option 3 and 4 does not work because of the lack of the support from all other point. You see, the slider at your exhaust may be long enough but the rest are not strategically place to ensure all the slider works together to prevent scratches to your bike.

In the end, I will say there are no available slider for V1 and V2.

But there are also people who still install it anyway...

But if you're looking for protection, I wouldnt say it help you but rather it cause you more harm.

yeah i did see v2 fix with handle bar end and that all . i guess the only way is to fix main stand to it ? haha u know i too worry it will fall when parked stationary .. so keep thinking on anypart which is possible . for v2 what are the most vulnerable part ,like need to take note more ?

lol.. as a new owner I constantly thought someone might just carry my whole bike away.

falls come and go. as long as we learn :)

even the bar end is used to stabilize the handle and not prevent fall.

parts to take note I'll say.. the staple below your seat. it will scratch your tank if you don't protect it a bit.

i have ask AXA and NTUC and mgis they dont accept half year insurance

Generally it is calculated based one a per year basis, not monthly. So if you're done with probation by Apr 2013, but choose to buy an insurance for Nov 2012, it will still be charged as under 1 yr of riding exp.

BUT! You can opt for a half a year insurance and when you're officially out of the probation thing, ask to extend for another 6 months and top up the figure.

So you pay half of "a" premium for your probation price and then half price for "b" for your 1 year but below 2 years premium.

Or you can just buy one year for p-plate riding since the difference will not be much. Say it going to be 200 - 500 a year.. which work to some 40 a month only?

Just the other time I was offered by my bikeshop to have 1/2 year insurance lei.. Cause I wanna sync up with my roadtax different. So what happen was that I was offered half the price for the insurance of my previous year instead of my year (cause haven finish one year).

Then I proceed to ask another place, also can eh. Give and take one I think.
