hey guys, i bought my bike last november, then just recently, my speedometer cock up!

the numbers are all jumping around, then at times, when i am travelling the displays show 0km/h!

anyone has any idea where to repair and how much would it cost? i am not too sure also whether i have warranty or not cos i got about 12000km mileage.?

Buy 2nd hand. Because after run-in, you are almost half way to enrol for 2A...

It's the speedo sensor. Disconnect the sensor (before it screwed up your whole electrical system like mine) and replace it.

How should i take care of my bike when run in bro ?

Good choice! Basically you need to observe your riding style and also the RPM meter. I suppose the posture is one thing to get use to.

 

The school of though I follows is the same as the manual.

 

1st 500km go below 5.5k RPM @ speed 70km/hr and below. Rest the machine after every 1 hour of operation. (hmm... how long? say.. 10 to 20 min?)

Change mineral engine oil and oil filter.

 

500km onwards to 1,000, go below 90km/hr or below 7k RPM. Varies your throttle once in a while to rev through the gears. (Example, change gear at 5 - 6Krpm on gear 1 to 2 then 6K rpm all the way. Play around and rev through but not over 7k).

Change to fully synthetic engine oil + oil filter and you're good to go. I suggest the next 500km to be below 100km and your piston will be all set to go beyond 130km/hr.

 

Typical v2 as data collected can go up to 135km/hr. No exhaust is available to change into. Air filter (open port/ close port) applies.

 

Run-in well and your bike can go beyond 10 to 15 years or more. Believe or not.

Some places to look into will be groupcow, qoo1 singapore.

Lots of it. Just any regular mount will do and you will have to cable tie it somewhere. It will be very cluttered anyway.

Same goes for the charger socket. But! Like it or not, if you choose to install it you will run in risk like water sipping in, short-circuiting your bike. Even if there is a hardy cover, rubber will degrade over time through constantly weathering in SGP.

And..

Our battery cannot support this kinda fancy gadget. Capacity is not within the range and you will kill your battery must faster than average.

Alot of us here is using battlax. Really good. But the price will be costly. Dun be surprise when you ask shop about it.

FI bike need do setting on a special device that connect directly to ECU.

Even shop have that device doesn't mean they know how to tune also.. So dont be fool.

Best bet as for now is to dyno the thing. Couple of shop offers dyno service and can go up to 100+++ for a single run and it is very very not advisable for small bike.

But I guess the shop screwed your bike and so you really need to do this dyno thing then.
