Battlax Tire huh ? How much does it cost ? As long as its good. I dont mind.

Can the version2 fit a bigger tire ?

All tires manufacturer have all sizes for all bikes. Is just that the bike shop wanna bring them in or not.

Typical 80/90"17 and 100/80"17 ~ 110/80"17 cost a good 140 a piece and above.

120/80"17 will set you back a good 160 a piece.

Usually sports bike tires goes around 120 and below. Some alternate will be michellin, Metzeler (front tire all the way for front and back).

Limited selection for R15 because they uses weird sizes.

FI bike need do setting on a special device that connect directly to ECU.

Even shop have that device doesn't mean they know how to tune also.. So dont be fool.

Best bet as for now is to dyno the thing. Couple of shop offers dyno service and can go up to 100+++ for a single run and it is very very not advisable for small bike.

But I guess the shop screwed your bike and so you really need to do this dyno thing then.

Bro...but for dyno is usually using PC or those kinder tuning gagets ryte ? mine is stock ecu and i think usuing the FI diagnostic tool to re-calibrate the setting will probably turn things back to good. i gotta check and enquire with 1 or 2 shops ask for thier opinion as well i guess. btw any recommendation on which shop to go for doing up agn the setting of my bike ? like what shops u all frequent and know of, those that are proficent with r15.

The PC thing is just a gadget to allow changes made to the ECU. Let's say it acts as a operating panel to your ECU. Dyno process will run the bike itself and see what went wrong and not. Then after that they will made changes directly to your ECU and set it there and then. PC5 and all these are just made more available to "map" the ECU and can adjust your bike setting. More convenient as it manages your bike along with the ECU as compared to your ECU working on your bike all by itself. Thats why it works more for higher cylinder bike than ours. What you need is to get it diagnose first and then set it back.

FI tool can do that but who knows what setting is default? Might as well rely on the expertise of dyno people since they can literally run your bike and see what went wrong then using FI tool and watch the RPM meter move up and down only.

oh?! Any good news?

We do have outings once in a while but the number seems to be declining right now.

People there are mostly regulars though. So I would like to encourage more people to step out and really know more people here since I believe this is a good platform to learn more about the machine and also keeping each other in check.

There will be one major outing in on the 18th I believe.

A "ride safe" coming soon..

and if you guys made it to the "safe" list, we even go overseas a couple of times for touring. So! Join us in the FB for more information.

Dont just dump yourself there and ask questions only, soak up and enjoy!

Eh... educate road user properly lei.

Good choice! Basically you need to observe your riding style and also the RPM meter. I suppose the posture is one thing to get use to.

The school of though I follows is the same as the manual.

1st 500km go below 5.5k RPM @ speed 70km/hr and below. Rest the machine after every 1 hour of operation. (hmm... how long? say.. 10 to 20 min?)

Change mineral engine oil and oil filter.

500km onwards to 1,000, go below 90km/hr or below 7k RPM. Varies your throttle once in a while to rev through the gears. (Example, change gear at 5 - 6Krpm on gear 1 to 2 then 6K rpm all the way. Play around and rev through but not over 7k).

Change to fully synthetic engine oil + oil filter and you're good to go. I suggest the next 500km to be below 100km and your piston will be all set to go beyond 130km/hr.

Typical v2 as data collected can go up to 135km/hr. No exhaust is available to change into. Air filter (open port/ close port) applies.

Run-in well and your bike can go beyond 10 to 15 years or more. Believe or not.

R15 v2 top speed really can go up to 135km/h? why my only 123km/h? anything wrong with my bike or there are some speed limit setting in R15v2 with stock condition. My rpm only go up to 9k, saw from youtube the can go up to rpm 10k++ with stock condition
